Not really sure what happened here. Hope I didn’t do something wrong…
No, no – somebody else came along with some crazy posts; he got banned and the posts deleted.
Anyway, thank you everyone for the advice. I will be attending the LM at the mission next weekend!
Great!

I’m actually in Ventura County. The funeral home Mass is in Ventura, as is the one at Mission San Buenaventura.

Is an independent priest one who has not been to seminary and is not recognized by The Church as a valid priest? Or, was he once in communion? Would his Mass be invalid? I’m wondering why, if there is a LM at the mission, another group feels the need to have (a conflicting - both are at the same time) Mass in the chapel at a funeral home.

Thank you all for your help!
According to any available information Fr Kramer belonged to the SSPX (was active priest there, may be even ordained by them) so his ordination is valid. Since years he is independent, thus his Masses are valid but not licit. The independent priests are independent because their view is different for others, and they believe that they represent the truth.

Go to the Mass listed by the diocese, that is safe. You do not need any invitation, wear modest outfit and just do what the others do. Expect to receive communion only kneeling and in tongue.

With some probability the new form mass is reverent too on that parish. It worth to visit for an other Sunday that Mass too, to see that the two forms are not very much different in themselves; the difference in liberal parishes is excess, abuse.

here is the Mass schedule at the Mission
