I have always had faith that God is truly in love with us and that we have full free will whether to choose him or reject him. I have also held the opinion that aborted/unbaptized babies are in our Father’s arms and are not forsaken because innocence and ignorance. Though sometimes it seems like some Catholics (apologists and clergy/laity) can be too legalistic and portray that God is not kind, but strict. I know that God is not ‘waiting to damn anyone to Hell’ or ‘is a bully with a magnifying glass on an ant hill’. I also realize that his justice will be given unto those whom reject him. I usually am never judgmental when dealing with one’s salvation because I don’t know what’s on their heart at the moment of their death. Can you shed some light on this? Am I being too lenient or is this a just concern? Where is the love?

Hi Matthew,

I’d say that you have a good grasp of what the Church teaches. Too often we forget how much the Lord loves us. We need to ponder the crucifix daily.
