Which Bible Should I Read?

Hello

I’ve been listening to Catholic Answers regularly for two years and have been reading virtually everything I can locate on all aspects of my faith. I don’t have my own Bible though and I want to buy one but don’t know which version to buy. I know there are many but I’d like a recommendation for one that possibly explains the passages to a relative newcomer to Bible reading.

I’d also like your thoughts on how to read the Bible and where to even start.

Any advice you can offer will be helpful.
