Which Bible/s do catholics read? Where can I get it’s digital version. I have CPDV (Catholic Public Domain Version) Bible.
Just be aware the Bible you mention was done by a guy called Ron Conte and it is NOT approved by the Church.Which Bible/s do catholics read? Where can I get it’s digital version. I have CPDV (Catholic Public Domain Version) Bible.
The Navarre Bible is a commentary, not a Bible translation. It uses the New Latin Vulgate and the Revised Standard Version but adds copious commentary. The Navarre Bible has super commentary, but is very expensive.
If you go to the link below, you can sign up at “edit my membership” and select some variations on how to receive these Navarre daily Mass readings and commentaries by email or RSS feed.

It’s not like you have the whole thing in front of you, but I find the commentaries quite useful.
It indeed has the Vulgate and RSV-CE translation, and copious commentary. The Navarre Bible is a commentary, not a Bible translation. It uses the New Latin Vulgate and the Revised Standard Version but adds copious commentary.
Sorry if I offended you.It indeed has the Vulgate and RSV-CE translation, and copious commentary.
I guess I was confused because it says on the cover “The Navarre Bible.” Silly me.
In my mind, when someone is looking for a Bible, they should be interested in both the translation and the commentary. I suggested The Navarre Bible because it seems IMHO to be very good in both areas.
My fault - was having a bad daySorry if I offended you.
