(Rev 22:18-19) “And if anyone will have added… And if anyone will have taken away from this book…”

Which book is Jesus talking about here? Is it specifically the Book of Revelation? Is it the New Testament? Or is it the entire Bible?

What you cropped out is that these verses specifically refer to “this prophecy,” which is kind of the point here. It’s especially poignant because the Bible, as a collection of revealed truth, did not exist at this point.

Yes , the Book of Revelation .

John is writing about the Book of Revelation. The Bible as we know it did not exist at the time of the writing.

Do you mean which book is St. John referring to?

Well yes, but I thought it was Jesus actually speaking and St John was just writing down his experience.

OK, I was thinking along the line of the Haydock Commentary, Rev 22:
  • Ver. 18-19. I, John, testify and bear witness of all the truths contained in this revelation: If any man shall add to these things, he becomes guilty of sin, and makes himself liable to the punishments and plagues that are written in this book. Wi.

Only the book of Revelation, though that distinction seems to be glossed over in discussions on sola scriptura.
