Praying the Rosary was encouraged by Mary. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy was introduced by Jesus. There are still many chaplets out there. So I was wondering, are all the chaplets a direct order from God or some are just composed by the Catholic church?

The St. Michael chaplet was claimed to be revealed by St. Michael himself to Antonia d’Astonac.

The others that I know of are those you mentioned, the Rosary and DM Chaplet.

I don’t think I could list all of them and I don’t really know a lot.

Out of curiosity, do you memorise by hard without reading from book when you pray the rosary or chaplet?

There is also the Rosary of the Holy Wounds from Jesus and the Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows which focuses on Mary.

Sr Marie of St Peter was the first person to receive revelation by Jesus related to communism (this was prior to it being called “communism” in the world and before Marx’s writings had become famous). She was instructed to bring the devotion to the bishop in order to prevent the spread of communism, but the request was ignored.

So it later led to the prayer of St Michael the Archangel by Pope Leo, and then the Marian apparition in Ukraine, and then in Fatima related to a second world war that could kill over 50 million people, and then Divine Mercy, and then Pope JP II fulfilling the 3rd secret of Fatima with his near assassination, and then the total consecration of Russia to the heart of Mary… and then the eventual fall of the USSR 😄

If a Chaplet comes from Mary, then it ultimately comes from God. God wouldn’t send her to teach us about a chaplet if it lead to anything other than Him.

For the St. Michael Chaplet, I first prayed it from the Pieta prayer booklet. Eventually, I got to know the prayer by heart and did not need to look at the booklet anymore.

Much of this is related to private revelation, which is different from public revelation. All of these rosaries and chaplets are beautiful ways to come close to Jesus.
