We have be realistic. Catholic Church does not recognize gay relationships for marriage. They do not allow women as priests. They do not allow Priests or Nuns to marry.

The former, raised Catholic, Governor of NJ, is now out of the closest after duping his wife pretending to be straight, , and now he intends on being an Episcopal Priest. I wish people the best, in this lifestyle, the best in finding what works for them in life. It’s rather sad they don’t be honest about it from the get go. God hates liars. Tsk…tsk…
God hates liars, hmmm?
Show me one place in Scripture where God loves homosexual acts and the practice of this deviant lifestyle.

States can put it on the ballot. If it becomes the law of land, we have to recognize it. Until they do, and it is approved by the voters, it is NOT the law of the land. I vote against it. I have no issue those of same sex living together and sharing each other sexually but will not ensorse them any queer marriage rights.
Why, as a “Catholic”, do you not have a issue with the homosexual act?
**Your profile says you’re a "cafeteria Catholic". There’s no such thing - Either you’re Catholic or you’re not. **

God’s not going to say:
**"Well done! At least you bought into some of what I tried to teach you. I’m glad you followed your will instead of mine!"

I hope they find peace…I know God aches along with them and wants to comfort their broken hearts.
I will join you in that prayer.

I will be praying for God’s mercy for them, not calling down his wrath.

The Catholic church doesn’t allow priests to be married or women to be ordained because it is from the Apostles, the 12 who were MEN AND NOT WOMEN. Christ chose the Apostles whom were celibate to pass down to the priesthood. why is this so hard to understand? If the priest wants to join the Episcopal church so he can play around is his problem, and a problem it will be when he has the Lord to judge him. to know the truth in the CC, then reject it, well, I wouldn’t want to have his soul.

There are people who are born gay as to sexual attraction and they have to live their life floating upstream to some extent in our society.

We need to be more charitable in our accepting them even if we don’t support their way of living. I’ve met some Protestants who firmly believe that a gay or lesbian can somehow change to become straight and that they were not born that way. I don’t agree with that. It’s a difficult life “choosing” to be gay. Some folks are bi-sexual too. We are all human beings created under God and while we have our opinions, we are not the final judge and jury. God will be the final judge. He gave us freedom of choice too. Most same sex attracted people are law abiding very fine citizens. That said, as a nation, if it came to a vote, I do not believe in legal same sex marriages to be equal with man/women marriage and would vote against it. I support and defend our Church’s views in this regard.

Best regards,

New Age Catholic

Sexual relations outside of marriage are sinful. Do you have a problem with that?

**The Catholic church doesn’t allow priests to be married **
You got me working overtime tonight sister
These Fundamentalists are often surprised to learn that even today celibacy is not the rule for all Catholic priests. In fact, for Eastern Rite Catholics, married priests are the norm, just as they are for Orthodox and Oriental Christians.

I’ve asked you before and I’ll ask you again, politely, please stop spreading misinformation and disinformation about the catholic church and it’s faith.

When someone comes out against Gods will claiming to the world that they’re gay -They’re just openly and willingly seperating ties with God and the Church. They must feel liberated by this sin.

By coming out what they are actually saying is: “I dont care what God wants, I’ll act out on whatever lusts I please…” An act of perversion that they could easily deny. After all, the Priests deny their sexual desires -so gays could easily do the same.

Any “Church” that ‘tolerates’ homosexuality is a watered-down mixture of Christianity and lies.

But dont get me wrong… I have a family member who is gay, and I love her to death. I just hope she changes her ways and comes back to God and the Church where she came from. Right now her problem is that she is selfish. She is young and only cares about herself and her inner circle of friends.

**First of all, the Catholic Church teaches charity to ALL people. **

Secondly, the Church doesn’t condemn homosexuals - it condemns the acts, as God does, just as he condemns fronication. It is an abomination before God (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13).

Finally - who said anybody is trying to be judge and jury. We are only stating what the word of God has to say on the matter. Everybody has their weaknesses and afflictions. We are all called to live godly lives despite these afflictions.

THEN WHY AREN’T YOU CATHOLIC SINCE YOU KNOW SO MUCH? Why can’t you answer that? It also states that you are unbaptized and unchurched (your words), so…if you claim to know-it-all, why aren’t you in the CC?
You know nothing about the Catholic faith. You google everything and take it from there. for one to remain outside the CC, then boast they know all about it and remain to choose not to belong, is a sin…what a joke…:rotfl:

Im going through RCIA right now - it’s a church rite, a catholic church rite. You probably dont now this either, but one cannot simply rock up to a priest and say make me a catholic.

I have a period of study, reflection, exercise to go through.

And Im going through it.

Im also actually very interested in the catholic church and have been studying it for some time.

You’d do well to do the same - or do you expect me to just keep correcting your errors 😛

Im cool with that - Im a helpful kinda Guy - just remember to keep me off your ignore list 👍

Else I wont be able to continue to keep you straight about what your church teaches and believes

:D:D:D:D

It’s a matter of discipline.

Read the linked article closely.

All men are called to chastity.

No ordained man is free to marry. Married men may be ordained to the permanent diaconate. In Eastern Rite sui juris Catholic Churches married men may also be ordained to the priesthood. Bishops in Eastern Catholic Churches are drawn from celibate men.

Some married men have been ordained to the priesthood in the Latin Rite, but this is an extraordinary practice, not an ordinary one.

Not according to your catechism

Like I said, man, you got me doing overtime tonight 😃
Honestly, I am ashamed of you for becoming Catholic. You are downright mean and obnoxious. There are many many kind good Catholics who would never boast as you do. Just the way you are tells me that you still don’t understand what it is like to be Catholic. You do not have the Holy Spirit within you.

We, as Catholics do not consider Wiki a credible resource. Furthermore, no attorney has made more money than non-Catholic Jeff Anderson. It was estimated by the Associated Press that he’d won 60 Million in settlements from Catholic Dioceses. People saw this as a way to make money and a lot of it were nothing more than witch hunts.
In 2005, there were 5 cases of sexual misconduct among 42,000 priests. You exaggerate your findings, yet rely on Wiki for your information.
There are more people seeking the priesthood in droves today than ever before. If you say this isn’t so, you do not know what each Diocese has in terms of the numbers of priests that are available, since there are thousands of these Dioceses. And in every country.
It just kills me how Catholics pick and choose sources as if those which always paint a grim picture are somehow wrong or tainted in some way. This whole thing has become laughable just as Fox News is completely laughable for similar reasons. Some things we need to just face in life for obvious reasons (because they are the truth).

Fox News is laughable dare they reveal the truth? I suppose CNN (Communist News Network) works for you…

Hello OneTrueCathApos

Do you have a source for this figure of 5 cases? As you rightly point out, it’s very important to have credible sources. Does your figure come from official court or church documents? It would be great if it does.
It has become deplorable how facts are distorted and in this case discarded. The whole thing is a circus. Still don’t think the gates of hell have prevailed here? Why don’t you poll the victims.

Exactly. The gates of hell will not prevail because WE ARE STILL HERE!! Would you like me to name the Anglican churches and the many abuses committed there? Why don’t you poll the victims?
