Not according to your catechism

Like I said, man, you got me doing overtime tonight 😃
CCC #846-#848
:hmmm:
171. What is the meaning of the affirmation “Outside the Church there is no salvation”?

846-848

This means that all salvation comes from Christ, the Head, through the Church which is his body. Hence they cannot be saved who, knowing the Church as founded by Christ and necessary for salvation, would refuse to enter her or remain in her. At the same time, thanks to Christ and to his Church, those who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ and his Church but sincerely seek God and, moved by grace, try to do his will as it is known through the dictates of conscience can attain eternal salvation.

This isn’t about Fox News. And pictures speak in volumes.
They certainly do, especially to the D.C. Fire Dept. who stated the number was in the tens of thousands which is far from 1.7 million. The demonstration in no way represents the opinions of the majority. Just the far right wing extremists being paid by the richest of the rich to stand out there like fools and do the bidding of the modern day Ceasars.

Exactly. The gates of hell will not prevail because WE ARE STILL HERE!! Would you like me to name the Anglican churches and the many abuses committed there? Why don’t you poll the victims?
Can you show any evidence at all that the Anglican church covered up mass child sexual abuse for decades by denying blatant facts and moving abusive priests all over the planet? I can’t wait to see this.

If it weren’t for Fox News, the jokers and crooks of Obama’s Administation would never be exposed.

The birth certificate fiasco maybe?? This is despicable and embarassing and of course as false as you can get. The one about President Obama being a Muslim is equally stupid.

Sure.

**A South Australian police task force into child abuse within the Anglican church had identified 217 victims and 48 offenders. however, the number of victims could be more than 400 as investigations continue.

Townspeople are shocked to learn that Angican Father Sapsford molested dozens of alter boys while he was married  with children, and after his serial molestation at another church was revealed.
Their Archbishop COVERED UP the original allegations…**

Shall I go on? Still can’t wait to see it?? Now what do you have to say? Oh, I forgot, it must be a “Catholic” thing…

Didn’t I say “the Obama Administration”? Open your eyes my friend…

It’s a matter of discipline.
I know
Read the linked article closely.
I have
All men are called to chastity.
True
In Eastern Rite sui juris Catholic Churches **married men may also be ordained to the priesthood. ** Bishops in Eastern Catholic Churches are drawn from celibate men.
So the claim that the catholic church does not allow priests to be married is incorrect.

Which is what I said.
Some married men have been ordained to the priesthood in the Latin Rite, but this is an extraordinary practice, not an ordinary one.
I know - usually married Anglican clergy who convert and the like.

What was your point in this post?

Sure.

I have never heard anything like this on any of the news networks.
BTW. Anglicans call them Acolytes not altar boys.🙂

The Anglican communion openly supported the use of abortifacients for decades by denying blatant facts. Now parts of the Anglican communion have appointed active homosexuals as clerics. Isn’t that what this thread is about, and what you are trying to divert attention from?

You were claiming that this is incorrect. I think you were quoting OneTrueCathApos. 🤷
These Fundamentalists are often surprised to learn that even today celibacy is not the rule for all Catholic priests. In fact, for Eastern Rite Catholics, married priests are the norm, just as they are for Orthodox and Oriental Christians.
How is that incorrect? I wouldn’t have used the phrase “the norm” because it’s sloppy wording, but it’s not necessarily wrong. Eastern Rite Catholics do have married priests.

OTCA stated the catholic church does not allow married priests.

forums.catholic-questions.org/showpost.php?p=5734208&postcount=196

I said it does.

I quoted the piece from the catholic library to prove my point.

The catholic church does allow married priests.

What I claimed is correct.

What OTCA claimed is incorrect.

Which part is not clear?

Apparently, they are in good company since the Roman Catholic church has appointed hundreds of homosexual clergy. Equally apparently many of them active from the Bishop level on down. The issue is often ignored until it blows up in the case of the founder of the Legionaries of Christ or the Bishops.

Even EWTN has noted the gay subculture within Catholic seminaries and estimates of gay Catholic clergy range up to around 33%. As a matter of fact I have met a couple of gay Catholic priests who were practicing that I can think of off the top of my head. There have been news stories of many more including the one a few years ago that was killed by a male prostitute he was visiting.

So your pointing the finger at other denominations above is pointless except maybe to divert attention as you are accusing others of.
