Which day is the day of Eid?

In Bangladesh we celebrated Eid ul fitr With my muslim family and relatives in 2nd october.The Indians did it in 1st october and middle east and western countries celebrated it 2 days before!!!Is it not very weird?Christians celebrate Christmas in 25 December,and it is fixed for all christians but Muslims Have 3/4 days to celebrate 1 Eid.Oh 1 thing,in my country I saw 3 Eid ul fitre Groups.1 of them celebrated Eid in 2nd october,1 of them celebrated Eid with saudi arabia and the 3rd party celebrated Eid with india;actually the 3rd party had started since last year because their Leader Fazlul haq Amini (an islamic political leader who is famous for Fatwa;and if sister amy has many friends in my country then she surely heard his name via her friends),claimed that he saw the moon of Ramadan raised one day before and when the time of Eid came then no body saw the moon of shawal(moon of Eid ul fitr),but amini claimed again that he saw the moon.so his supporter celebrated last year’s Eid one day before.so in bangladesh we(3 groups) celebrated 3 Eid ul fitr in 1 year.But it is different.My question to muslims is,how can be the Eid day is different for different places?(do not tell me that it depend upon the moon,because I know this type of answer)😃
 
It is weird that Muslims always consider the Cube a sign of their unity whereas there are so many signs illustrating their disagreement and partition. 🙂

Nope, not weird. You only think it’s weird because you don’t understand it. If you want to read something really weird though, try reading the book of Revelation (i.e., the Revelation of Jesus… blah blah… in the Bible).

Morningstar not all Christians celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December, some use a different calendar and celebrate it on 6th January, among other dates.

Sister Amy, the purpose of this thread is to criticize Islam, not Christianity. You never seem to have anything but a snide remark to make whenever someone questions Islam; but you never can answer the question. It really shows how you are brainwashed by a gentler, kinder American revisionist version of Islam but can’t face the facts when it comes to the REAL Islam.

I think all Christians observe the Nativity of Christ on December 25, but some of them celebrate the Epiphany (the visit of the Three Magi), which does occur on January 6.
 
As a Palestinian friend once said to me after I told him that I couldn’t date an Orthodox girl: “We all worship the same Christ! Yours is just a few days older than ours, that’s all.” 😉

The dates of Easter are naturally different in the East than in the West because there exist TWO distinct Churches. Can you say the same about Muslim countries celebrating the Eid on different days? Has there ever been a controversy among those countries concerning the day of celebration?

I am sick of false analogies.
