From Merriam-Websters:

de·nom·i·na·tion
Pronunciation:
\di-ˌnä-mə-ˈnā-shən
Function:
noun
Date:
15th century
1: an act of denominating
2: a value or size of a series of values or sizes (as of money)
3: name , designation ; especially : a general name for a category
4: a religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices

So, unless the RCC is not a religious organization or is not united in adherence to beliefs and practices, it is a denomination.

You not liking it doesn’t change the meaning of the word.

Nothing that is not perfect will enter Heaven. The Catholic Church is the ONLY Church founded by Jesus Christ. Whether or not someone starts out Catholic, they will be so by the time they get to heaven. Hence the purpose of Purgatory - to make perfect that which is to enter heaven.

Wow, you must be Jesus, to know who goes to heaven and hell…oh wait :manvspc:
well…no, but I do have total and complete faith in my Holy and apostolic roman Catholic church…and all orthodox, all others acoording to the Catholic catechism are corrupt and have turned away from God, may you find the truth…God bless you my friend:highprayer:

NO ONE can presume to know who goes to hell, as we don’t know the mind of God and whether or not someone truly repented before they died. In rare cases, we can know that someone is in heaven through the canonization process.

What some posters are trying to say here is that ALL people in heaven are “catholic”, in the sense that they belong to the one universal faith. If they made it into heaven, then they did what was required by God to get there, whether they were formally part of the Catholic Church or not. Those who were not Catholic that are in heaven would be part of the church by virtue of a Baptism of Desire or by virtue of their Christian baptism and doing what the Catholic Church required, whether they knew it or not.

Careful… the denominations may be false, but many people in them will be invincibly ignorant of the true faith. Many of these people will have a chance at salvation.

It is not an issue to say that everyone in heaven will be Catholic. Once we die, we will be shown the Truth and accept it.

I am not saying that only Catholics will go to heaven.

Likewise, all of the people in hell will be Catholic, too.

They will be shown the truth and must accept it as well.

who will be in heaven? In the end everybody! but only because of the rescue mission sent by god,the precious body and blood, death and resurrection of the savior Jesus Christ, although many will have their sins destroyed in hell first.in the end “EVERY KNEE WILL BOW AND CONFESS JESUS AS LORD”

Some folks insist that certain denomination are the true ones here on earth. Which is the denomination of all the saved in heaven?

What makes you think anyone is in heaven 🙂 ?

Think of it - all those whose people who’ve written enormous books proving that their group alone can be saved, & that the rest of the world is damned: they are going to look so silly if (when ?) they wake up in Hell to find that the “heretics”, “schismatics” & other “enemies of God” they have spent their time anathematising, cursing, killing & hating, are in Paradise - & they, are not. People who do that, poison faith in Christ. 😦 😦 They “satanise” it, & “diabolise” God, as though He were as wicked as we.  😦

“Screwtape Proposes a Toast” knocks the stuffing out of such “gospels of hate” - it deserves to be far better known than it is. It’s short enough to be bound up with Lewis’s better known “Screwtape Letters”.

Everybody in hell is catholic.

So is everybody in heaven. 😉 😃

Once judgement is done, there is no more hiding from the truth.

If I didn’t believe catholcism was THE church truly founded by Christ and that the others were imperfect at best derivations from it, I wouldn’t waste my time with a catholic faith. If it ain’t true, it ain’t worth nothin’.

There are No denominations in heaven only the Universal(CATHOLIC) Church Triumphant. All those in Heaven are Catholic even if they died as Non-Catholics.🙂

lol whatever pal
