Harry Potter (all 4 movies) loved them all, of course
Amelie (french film, adorable but has the usual make-fun-of-sex scenes) 👍 👍
V for Vendeta 👍 👍 👍

I just returned “300” and “Hot Fuzz”. The cinematography (?) of “300” reminded me of “Sin City”. Of course, same producer. Very graphic. I enjoyed “Hot Fuzz” much more. Much better than “Shaun of the Dead”, and a tribute to all of the action movies that the writers and cast profess to have seen ("…who have seen every action movie ever made").

300 (SinCityish adrenaline rush)
The Greatest Game Ever Played (excellent)
Sky High (loved it)
The Outsiders - The Complete Novel (Director’s Cut) ooooh, the extras on this set are wonderful! What a different movie this is from the original release.

When watching Outsiders it struck us as to how bad things have changed. The story itself is about three brothers living on their own trying to stay together as a family. Even though they have a rough life and have had to look/be tough to survive this story reveals the emotions they have to deal with in facing this lot in life they were cast. The boys (14-19) hug, stare into sunsets, talk, cry and what not.

At the time the book was written it wouldn’t occur to anyone that any of these boys would be gay, but seeing it now in it’s full version, I can see why the original scenes were cut from the first release. It bugged all of us watching the film to have to fight off looking at those scenes in that distorted view - not that we considered it, but that we know main stream media today would have jumped all over the film trying to make it another Brokeback or something - when it’s nothing of the sort.

The movie and story itself is still a masterpiece. Amazing that most of those boys made it big in the industry after that piece, it’s the reason I had my kids see it. They know of the actors from their later work and this was the film which led to those. They loved seeing these guys at such a young age.

I just introduced my son to the Star Wars Saga – we watched Episode 1 and 2 this last weekend – we will continue next weekend with 3 and 4 hopefully – I may have to distract him during some of the more graphic parts of Episode 3 though as he is pretty young still (I just couldn’t wait to get him into it though:) )

On Wednesday and Thursday I watched, respectively, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, in preparation for opening night of The Bourne Ultimatum.

Sunday night, I finished season 1 of the new Battlestar Galactica with the 2-part episode “Kobol’s Last Gleaming”.

DH and I go to sleep to DVDs almost every night so…Last night it was Jurassic Park 3. Usually its the 1st 3 Harry Potter movies (DH Doesn’t like #4).

The last movie I actually sat and watched was The Devil Wears Prada and I saw a little bit of The Marine with John Cena the other night. (yes, I am a huge wrestling fan…can’t help it, I grew up watching it:rolleyes: )

OoOoOoh! That’s next on our list but Blockbuster is out of copies right now. 😦 We’re really jazzed about Ultimatum.

Gummi Bears and The Muppets Movie, then Stephen King’s Kingdom Hospital. That last one’s sTrAnGe, but it’s a nice change of pace for us. 🙂

Kingdom of Heaven for class
Eddie Izzard: Dress to Kill- British comedian, mostly not appropriate, but it makes me giggle.
