Which is more Natural for the immature to choose: feel good (entertainment) or effort (school, religion)?

Does education and morality stand a fighting chance against the increased portability and addiction to media entertainment? Is Entertainment the new Teacher and the new God of our kids?

Entertainment, definitely. Today’s world says, “if it feels good, do it”. How is that not the mentality of an immature, egocentric child? Arrogance, as proven throughout the centuries, always ends in the downfall of the haughty man. It’s an age-old conept called Hubris.

But to be a man of faith is to be mature. The man who submits to God has integrity. He stands for what is morally correct and what will be good for himself and for humanity. The lessons taught in the Gospels have been proven time and time again to be the most effective lessons for a healthy society.

If I have children of my own (priesthood is not out of the question), I’m going to teach them what Jesus has taught me, because I know the only alternative s anarchy. Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church, and I’m gonna take His word for it.

Hedonism, if left unchecked, will be the downfall of humanity. The so-called “progressives” are actually regressives. Their agenda sees “Superman” as an animal, while religion sees man as man, an intelligent, dignified being, which will bring forth the true “Superman”.

I was thinking about this very thing earlier today, which explains the moving speech

Naturally, people want to do things that they are good at. People generally do not want to do horribly at something or be involved in things in where other people are superior to them.

Good. Does that mean you’ll help me in cleaning up the mainstream media, so we can end it’s oppression of the poor, the young, and the less educated? They’re being drawn into too much love-less lust, drugs, violence at young ages to resist these temptations, in the name of profitable entertainment. The beauty of True Love and innocence is being taken away. It’s all very predictable. They’re being handicapped by msm before they ever get going in life. The sad part is that msm has the means and free will NOT to profit from their oppression. We need a change. Please help me. I’m begging you.

What options do we have?

1- not get cable. not go to the movies. Not let these influences in our children’s lives.
2- let them be around this media, and cry b/c it’s hurting our children?
3- try to fight against it and change it- even though the laws of our country allows for what media has and does.

Education definitely and leading by example. If mum and dad are not into certain things, and state logical reasons why not, the child will listen. I often tell my son, mostly off topic, how he should act or think about certain things. He does take it in. I am often surprised by what he takes in, when I was certain he hadn’t.

Unless you make it your mission to instruct your child yourself, then they will learn what the world wants them to. They will get their knowledge from somewhere so it may as well come from you. You have the life experience advantage which is very valuable, so use it.

Lastly, but most importantly, pray. Pray for your children, your spouse and yourself for God’s guidance. This will be the true measure of your faith, by how much you trust in him.

Why not organize a boycott? Educate as many people as possible how media entertainment is profitting from weakening and reducing people into an addiction to selfish brain pleasurism via the promotion of lust, drugs, violence, etc. These things seemed somewhat attractive a few decades ago when the U.S. WAS a more religious nation. We had a much higher and thicker religious wall back then. Now that the last few decades have gone soft on religion because we’d rather be entertained, we’re obviously in trouble morally speaking. If we can get the word out, we can forge a new direction. Once profits shift in a new direction, the execs presently in charge will either change, or fail. An aware peole are a freer people. We do not need to be enslaved to the detriment of the relationships of our families and friends.

Growing up, I sat in front of a TV set for a good part of my childhood (I’m 40). A large part of many kids’ values are determined by TV. TV’s programming was deteriorating throughout the 80s. I didn’t care back then because I was a teenager. We become what we see. WHy have religion build up the wall, only to have media entertainment erode it??? Today, when Sesame Street puts Katy Perry in a bustier on Sesame Street, there are obvious problems at the top. It took complaints to get them to yank her off the air. Either they are either inbred to the point of ignorance, or they are just going to keep insulting, weakening, and reducing people into acting on basic instinct by being the puppetmaster over people by promoting sex, drugs, and violence. It seems hypocritical that they make such a good living from our reduction, then give a tiny amount back in the form of charity. Gee thanks. How thoughtful. Why not just stop the oppression and allow True Love, inner beauty, and a return to innocence? **I’ve found that it’s easier to maintain healthy relationships with loved ones and be a better Christian if I drastically reduce my exposure to pop culture entertainment. **We need major changes.

I worked in inner city New York for years. People are piled on top of people. If those kids are like me, sitting in front of a TV, with less religious presence in the media, more single parenthood, listening to music with lewd lyrics, watching shallow movies, how can they ever escape being addicted to entertaining their brains with sex, drugs, violence? It seems obvious to me that the poor, young, and less educated are being enslaved into craving physical and chemical brain pleasurism. With all the lewdness, it’s no wonder that young people want sex at earlier ages, and that too many men have been weakened into running from their pregnant woman due to weakness. One runs when one loves self more than the pregnant woman. They could help the inner city poor, the young, and the less educated if they would just stop the addiction and enslavement to the basic instincts by cleaning up media entertainment!

The media has the free will and means to choose what it broadcasts. No one is forcing them to profit from the reduction of our humanity.
