I saw Hillary on the debate and she said that Roe V Wade is the law and she wants to keep it that way.
Yea, I’m not surprised. 😦

It’s evil, I would vote for trump before I voted for her, and I worry very much about trump.

I can’t believe how these people could advocate abortion like they do, how blind they are. 😦

Trickle down economics has never worked and has only ever resulted in more deficit.
When is the last time that Socialism or Communism ever worked? You always run out of other people’s money to spend.

They all have their problems (communism in a different category altogether as I believe it is fundamentally flawed from the get go and in an especially dangerous and deadly way) Socialism can be dangerous if it tips over into Communism or Communist philosophy, die hard Capitalism is not good either, filled with slogans like ‘greed is good’ etc

I believe Capitalism is the best system with moral and principled people (and that’s the key to it, moral and principled people). I would prefer Capitalism mixed with a bit of socialism to cover a little for the abuses of Capitalism. I really dislike any sort of ‘Ism’ especially set up as an absolute when it comes to economics.

Anyway, just some of my thoughts,

I hope this has helped

Also, when it comes to ‘trickle down economics’ I believe this can only work with moral and principled people to keep the flow going, and often, we see that this doesn’t always happen (e.g. greed), therefore I believe we need to have measures in place (e.g. a touch of socialism, although I don’t like to call it socialism, I just know of no other word for it) to ensure that the stream isn’t dry when it reaches the end, otherwise the ones at the end of the stream, when the water dries up, revolt and you end up with disastrous errors like communism.

So if one doesn’t keep tabs on trickle down economics, one ends up creating the very thing they fear when the lower classes revolt because the stream has dried up by the time it reaches them.

I hope this has helped

God Bless You

People can talk about economics if they want, socialism, communism, welfare, etc., but “Pro Life” means more than just abortion.

If you are in favor of the death penalty then you are not pro-life.

I never knew I wasn’t pro life…
Well I guess that frees up some more candidates for me to vote for…

I Get Tim’s point but capital punishment/abortion are not exactly the same issue.

Some things to consider:
Capital punishment is not (intentionally) the killing of innocents. Abortion is always the killing of an innocent.
Current Church guidance dictates that there is almost no justification for capital punishment, so to be in favor of capital punishment would be problematic. Depends what you mean by “in favor of”.

Oh, if only the pro-life candidates were also anti war. The thought of any of my prior high school students being sent to fight in the Middle East is a horrendous thought.

The inviolability of the person which is a reflection of the absolute inviolability of God, fínds its primary and fundamental expression in the inviolability of human life. Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights-for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture- is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination.
Pope St John Paul II - Christifideles Laici

In other words, any claim by a candidate that they support universal health care, or maternity leave, or right to unionize is ’ false and illusory’ as long as they fail to support the right to be born at all. All those other rights depend first and foremost on the right to life.

Honestly, the law isn’t going to change regardless of who’s in office. Has any Republican president actually overturned Roe vs Wade since 1973? No. Anything any Republican candidate says about being pro-life is nothing but lip service to get more votes.
No President can undo what the Supreme Court has ruled on. The reason it’s important to vote for a pro-life candidate is because of who he/she will eventually nominate for a seat on the Supreme Court.

If only voters were not blind in partisanship, and realized that the urge for war is common to many politicians of all stripes.

but, good to see that you don’t want your students to be hurt…😉
