I would like everyone’s take on what would be the worst.
They’re all bad, all to be avoided at all costs. Nuff said.I would like everyone’s take on what would be the worst.
hmmm - i never thought of it like that!So is the heat of hell relative to the “worseness” of the sin? Any one of the three could land someone in hell. The loss of the sense of sin might be a close relative to the unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit. Seems more like playing Russian Roulette with three chambers loaded.
I would say loss of the sense of sin, also know as a poorly formed or even non existent conscience. Having a poorly formed conscience means there is no true good and true evil, this can be seen from the fact most people today think cohabitation is no big deal.I would like everyone’s take on what would be the worst.
I have read that the worse the sin the worse the intensity of pain.So is the heat of hell relative to the “worseness” of the sin? Any one of the three could land someone in hell. Abortion carries the penalty of excommunication as well (although most dioceses have a standing policy that delegates the power to absolve this sin to the priest).I would say loss of the sense of sin, also know as a poorly formed or even non existent conscience. Though of that list only Abortion and Desecration are technically mortal sins, only deliberately Desecrating the Eucharist carries the included penalty of instant excommunication (must be received back by a bishop)

I tend to agree, although it’s almost a trick question…The loss of the sense of sin is a root cause of the other wrongs. A sense of sin will at least make the person stop to think that the other things might be wrong, if not dissuade him/her completely from doing them. But without a sense of sin, anything goes.
