Which Padre Pio biography is best?

My friend has recently learned of Padre Pio and wants to learn more. He is a Non Catholic and is considering entering the Catholic Church. I want to get him a biography of Padre Pio that is easy to read and understand which may also teach a little to him of the catholic faith. Can anyone recommend a good biography? Thanks it is much appreciated!

Hi,
I can recommend “Padre Pio and America,” from TAN Books. I recently wrote this book for the general reader, and also with non-Catholic readers in mind too. It includes a biography of Padre Pio and also tells about his connections with Americans. One of my favorite Padre Pio books is “Padre Pio,” by Father John Schug.

I love St.Padre Pio and have a special bond with him:) I have several books about him and one of the best biographies are Padre Pio Man of Hope by Renzo Allegri.
