The Reproaches especially:

My people, what have I done to you?
How have I offended you? Answer me!

The fact that Mary is standing at the foot of the cross - I’ve always found that to be quite remarkable, such a great sign of strength. And at the point when Jesus entrusts Mary and the disciple he loves into each others’ care, I always feel a deep sense of emotion.

Also - at the beginning of the service, when the priest reaches the altar and prostrates himself, and when we venerate the Cross. Very poignant moments for me.

Prostration, I got tears in my eyes.

Jesus, we could spend our entire lives prostrated before You and it still wouldn’t be enough.

I love the adoration of the cross. It’s such a great tradition in our Catholic faith. Even though a sign of reverence to the cross will never be able to amount to what Christ has done for us, it’s nice to show gratitude to Him by kissing the cross.
