the exact length of St Peters time as head of the Church is not reliably known, so it’s generally taken to be Bl. Pius IX.

It is commonly (and traditionally) accepted that Blessed Pope Pius IX regned longest as Pope. This does not conflict with my devotion to Saint Peter. The time as Pope does not make the Pope, if you understand.
