Which prayer is good for finding a real partner?

I had some boyfriends before, but we ended the relationships because of various reasons. I admit I am bad in relationship. It is the age for marriage now and still I am single.

Is there any prayer which helps us find our real partner? I want a partner who also loves God and honours God so that my future life will still be serving God together.

You’re looking for a formulaic prayer? I doubt this is how God works; listening to formulaic prayers over and over again. Just pray in your own words.

I have heard of several people praying a 54 day rosary novena for this purpose, with success.

Even though the words are “formulaic,” they offer the opportunity to meditate on God’s will and bring us closer to Him without unnecessarily concerning ourselves about how we sound. The words are for the person praying, not as a magic spell for the intercessor or God. Catholics frequently use prayers written by others. Jesus Himself gave us the “Our Father.” Many other common prayers come from Scripture, the writings of saints, and so on. They beautifully express all the aspects of prayer. I think there is a place for spontaneous prayer, absolutely, but we don’t need to constantly reinvent the wheel to make our prayers pleasing to God.

If God heard your prayers, he’d just magic you a new boyfriend. You cannot pray to get a new boyfriend, you just have to earn one.

That is a grossly inaccurate understanding of God and prayer.

It is true that God is not a “Magic 8 Ball” or a “wishing well” where one can simply put in one’s orders and expect God to act.

Boyfriends are also not merit badges to be “earned”. They are people to be respected. We don’t earn love, we don’t earn boyfriends/girlfriends.

Through an act of our will we choose to love and choose to be exclusive with another.
 
Scripture says to seek first the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness and all these other things will fall into place. Pray that your future spouse is doing the same.

I have tried praying this to Saint Raphael, but seem no much outcome. Or should I pray everyday for at least a few years ? :o

It’s when you say the same words over and over again because you think they’re special, or have power in themselves. This is not to say that you shouldn’t use “premade” prayers. As other posters have noted, God certainly gave us the “Our Father” prayer, and other prayers are nicely expressed.

However, with ANY prayer–whether it’s “premade” or a prayer we make up on the spot–we have to remember that we cannot, and should not try to, coerce God into doing what we want. God always hears our prayers, and wants us to come to Him in sincere prayer, but He does not always give us what we want. We trust in His goodness and love for us, not in his ability to be some cosmic Santa Claus delivering goodies.

PennyInCanada gave some good advice. Ultimately, our hope is not in marriage, or children, or a successful career, or any other number of good things; it is in our eternal Savior, and the prospect of communion with Him forever. It is certainly not wrong to want to be married; a Godly marriage is a wonderful blessing! But don’t pin your faith on finding a spouse.
