And what is the reasoning or justification.
Isn’t Joe prohibited from receiving the Eucharist? rThis link has a breakdown which might help you.

As far as justification, the US VP Joe Biden, a Catholic, explains it pretty well. The way he describes it, he believes in this area, we can not force faith in a heterogeneous society where not everyone believes the same as to when human life begins, that the soul enters the body at the moment of conception for instance. We do not live in a theocracy.
Or I just googled and found this site where perhaps you can read some of the reasoning pro choice Christians use here

Could you refresh my memory? What was the reasoning or justification the late US Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy gave for the practice? And what is the reasoning or justification.
Ha! It does lead to the question what is meant by “permission” and what role does the church police have in punishment? And the greater factor of church police. How much damage is done when 9 year old rape victims are punished yet celebrity members of a church seem to move with immunity from prosecution.Could you refresh my memory? Then let’s rephrase the question, since it appears you may have more objection to Church enforced doctrines than abortion itself. What Protestant faiths find abortion an acceptable form of birth control?Ha! It does lead to the question what is meant by “permission” and what role does the church police have in punishment? I don’t believe there are any Protestant groups that “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”Then let’s rephrase the question, since it appears you may have more objection to Church enforced doctrines than abortion itself. What Protestant faiths find abortion an acceptable form of birth control?
I’m not so sure. There appears to be reasons they find it acceptable and I’m open to hearing those reasons. As the poster said a victim of rape was ‘punished’, it would help if they had elaborated on that punishment specifically. I feel that is only one example of acceptable ‘reasons’ and would like to hear other reasons, with explanations. For example, is it acceptable for an unwed woman? Is it acceptable for financial reasons?I don’t believe there are any Protestant groups that “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”
Perhaps you could provide a list of Protestant groups which “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”I’m not so sure. If I knew of any specifically, I would not have asked the question. It seems some took offense of the original question, in the form it was asked. I was trying to clarify the question since, as I said, some posters seemed to have more objection to Church enforced doctrines, than abortion itself. One actually provided one reason, which makes me think there might be other reasons.Perhaps you could provide a list of Protestant groups which “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”
I am not aware of any myself.
Say, are you in favour of taking the life of human life when they’re not yet born? And you should know that one wrong doesn’t make another wrong right!Ha! It does lead to the question what is meant by “permission” and what role does the church police have in punishment? And the greater factor of church police. OK, how about phrasing it this way: “Which churches allow a woman to have an abortion for any reason?” Either allow it willy-nilly, or allow it for specific reasons (rape, incest, etc)…Perhaps you could provide a list of Protestant groups which “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”
I am not aware of any myself.
Could you clear up a question I have? Then let’s rephrase the question, since it appears you may have more objection to Church enforced doctrines than abortion itself. What Protestant faiths find abortion an acceptable form of birth control?
I understood that Protestantism, changed their rule on birthcontrol before 1930. They lifted the ban and now condone it.Perhaps you could provide a list of Protestant groups which “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”

Sen. Ted Kennedy may have called himself a Catholic, but on advocating in favour of abortion he certainly didn’t mind much about what the Catholic Church teaches on it.Could you refresh my memory? What was the reasoning or justification the late US Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy gave for the practice?
What about the “United Church”, maybe, where so many opinions are tolerated (even orthodox ones)?I don’t believe there are any Protestant groups that “find abortion an acceptable form of birth control.”
What church allows or denies any man to do anything? It implies that the church has policing power over its members. A 9 year old girl has no political power so does she have different rules applied to her then the Speaker of the US House of Rpresentatives?OK, how about phrasing it this way: “Which churches allow a woman to have an abortion for any reason?” Either allow it willy-nilly, or allow it for specific reasons (rape, incest, etc)…
Can anybody think of one? Mormons are the first, whats next?

We don’t know to what extent people , they or you , sin. We go into the confessional alone, only God knows the intentions of the heart ultimately. Peace to you, CarlanCould you clear up a question I have?
Is it true that US Rep and speaker of the house Nancy Palosi and Sr. US Sen. John Kerry both put their political muscle into the abortion industry and are both still receiving the Eucharist?
