Part of the problem is that Islam makes it so darn easy to convert. Same with fundamentalist Protestant Christianity. If someone wants moral absolutes and finds out they have to go through an RCIA program for a year, they might balk. You might say if they *really wanted it, they’d do whatever it takes. However, most people are incredibly busy, so they will just settle for an easier alternative. This might be wrong but how many people eat McDonalds instead of preparing a homecooked meal when they are busy and tired?

They can become Muslim by saying the same words 3 times in a row. They can become born again by saying a Sinners Prayer. The two religions that are worth a hill of beans (Catholic and Jewish) make it very hard to get in.

Just my Lutheranish opinion. 🙂

I believe things are going to get a lot tougher for Christians in general, and Catholics in particular. The Church will be much leaner. Those non-denom. types will high-tail it when the going gets tough, while the true believers will start taking a second look at the CC because the kids growing up in the faith today are literally on fire for Christ, praise God. Many of them have a bubble-gum mentality (that’s many, not all All For Him) 😉 that will not hold up to the persecutions.

These hippy-dip types that are dominant in the Church will all die off, thankfully. The lukewarm ones are contracepting themselves into oblivion, as are most Protestants.

The progressives and new-agers will reign supreme for a while. Things will get so bad, those left will be searching big-time for meaning. The internet and alternative forms of communication will allow them to find what they are looking for beyond the propaganda that is forced down everyone’s throat.

I truly believe that God will not allow Islam to continue to spread. I believe things are as they were in the Old Testament when God chastised His people because they were apostating as are His people today. He will bring us back to our own. Will there be a big war? I think it is very possible. It will not be pretty. The Scriptures talk about a faithful remnant. I’m working on raising the remnant.

There is no compelling reason not to believe that Islam will continue to spread even at a more faster rate than what we see now today. To automatically assume that God “will not allow Islam to continues” is simply wishful thinking. We dont know God’s mind and if Islam continues to drown out other religions maybe who is to say that this is what God’s plan is?

It may simply be that we are not rising to the occassion to defend our faith and to multiply the earth as God commanded. We will be the reason that our nation may be gobbled up by Islam not God.

I believe with all my heart it will be Catholics. Because Jesus himself said, the gates of hell would not prevail against us…and He would be with us until the end of all ages.

In the last century, we have had more Christian martyrs than all the centuries combined…but the church still prevails and particularly strong in the countries where it is persecuted, albeit it is underground…but it still exists.

Just look at all the stories revealed during the holocaust. Christians were murdered as well as the Jews. It was an attack an all faiths.

In my opinion, we are going to be headed for a HUGE war between the Islamic World and the Western World within 50 years. The West will not only prevail due to God being on our side, but because as soon as people accross the world have finally woken up to radical Islam, any war we choose to fight, we have MAJOR militairy advantages. We have the air, they do not. I think if anything Islam will shrink but only because of war.

Good evening, Thank you all so very much for your responses. Not only did you give me great responses to my survey, but you have helped me build a fantastic conclusion.

I want to thank you for your enthusiasm and time. Your responses are all well thought out and I have always believed that we share more of ourselves when we write than in any other form of communication. I appreciate your openness. Not to mention the good points you all brought up while making it interesting and fun.

I appreciate all of you very much. I have read each and every post and will continue to do so in the future (for the next 50 years!).

Many blessings to you all! :blessyou:
