My children are 17 (18 in Aug) and 16. They both say they don’t believe in God anymore though the 17 year old is more questioning his beliefs. The 16 year old has informed me she is gay and flat out doesn’t believe.
I have decided wether they believe or not they will attend church with me as long as I am paying their bills and they live under my roof.
They have agreed to wear a single medal of my choosing and I am asking which one would be most useful for the conversion of their hearts. I am not superstitious…I believe in the power of prayer. With that said, I am considering the Miraculous medal or the Scapular medal. The were both enrolled in the brown Scapular when they were in grade school.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Right off, I would go with the Miraculous Medal… and I’m praying for you. It’s tough being a parent in these times and let’s face it. It’s tough being a teen, too! Praying for you all.

I would go with the Miraculous for your daughter and Scapular for your son; be sure to have them blessed and pray daily for your children. Sometimes people have to leave the Church, to find it.

The Green Scapular is the scapular of conversion. Hence I’d say it’s most relevant.
