Interesting… What do you pray for ? that you get help for?

Is it healing? Or financial ? Or???

Is this sickness for something like the flu??

Or a more serious sickness?

I ask the these Saints for spiritual support while praying the rosary for others and strength to continue to fight against temptations the devil uses to try to hinder myself following Christ.

I ask them to pray with me and for me to God.

I pray the St. Michael prayer at least twice a day because I am prior army and he is my confirmation saint. I also pray regularly for Our Blessed Mother to pray for me very often. I frequently look up other saints patronage in order to ask for their intercession depending on what’s going on.

I just ordered my first St. Michael Chaplet this morning. I can’t wait for it to come in next week.

Anyone know who I can ask to pray for my wife opening her heart to the Church? She’s a Baptist and is on the fence for considering converting

So sorry for the delay Tis! Yes, Saint John Vianney attributed all the miracles in his parish to Saint Philomena’s intercession before God. He had a great devotion to this little girl who suffered great torture in her love for Jesus Christ and to not renounce Him. May we ask her intercession for both of us! Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, our Good and Great God and Saviour

I don’t pray to saints. I ask them to pray for ME
The verb ‘to pray’ means ‘to ask’. Latin root, precare, to ask, to implore.

We see that in Hamlet, Act I, Scn II when Queen Gertrude says to Hamlet “I pray thee, stay with us; go not to Wittenberg”

So by asking the saints to pray FOR you, you are, by definition, praying TO them.

  • Saint Joseph whenever desires of the flesh start polluting my mind.
  • Saint Jerome and Saint Aquinas whenever I’m going to study.
  • Saint Peter and Saint Paul whenever I’m going to defend the Holy Church publicly.
  • Saint Maximilian Kolbe whenever talking about politics.
I don’t know that many saints tbh…

I picked St. Francis de Sales but I don’t ask him for anything.
