I’m testing a hypothesis. Once the poll has been closed (Sunday evening), I’ll post my purpose in putting the poll together. The results are actually proving far different that I thought they would but there are three more days until I can say, conclusively, that I was wrong about a particular issue.
Ok, I can wait but I will not vote becuase of two reasons.
  1. Sin is sin.
  2. The subjective nature of the words “mistreat” and “injustice”

“Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me,” says the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 3:5)

Blame the Gays the new mantra of the bishops .Blame mickey mouse just don’t,don’t blame us.
Jesus Christ said for those that lead children to sin death is too good for them.
Yet we never hear this quotation from the mouths of priests or bishops, strange?
Our bishops made it possible for the child molesters to molest the number of children that they did. They " created the occasion of sin " .

Isaiah 10:1 Ah, you who make iniquitous decrees, who write oppressive statutes, 2 to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be your spoil, and that you may make the orphans your prey! 3 What will you do on the day of punishment, in the calamity that will come from far away? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth, 4 so as not to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain?..
The one I’d be the most disgusted with myself for would be to steal from an old widow or hurt a small orphan child. I know that is not an answer. I’d also think of myself contemptuously if I took a coat from a homeless man as a pledge on debt repayment and let him sleep in the cold.

According to the whole counsel of scripture, and the teachings of the Church, which of these sins is the worst?
How about - none of the above!

“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemes they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgivness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

Mark 3:28,29

also in Matt 12:31,32 and Luke 12:10

i think all the sin are equal. There is no such thing as greater sin except the thread above

But still all sins are sins. If you have commited murder then you have sinned against the Trinity and against your neighbour.
If you have committed a simple thing such lying still you have sinned against the Trinity and against your neighbour.

I would think that a good rule of thumb in judging the gravity of any actions or failure to act is how that action or inaction adversely effects the most innocent and or person without any real personal power, effected by the action or in action.

In the Catechism 1864 it reads: "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin."136 There are no limits to the mercy of God, but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept his mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of his sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit.137 Such hardness of heart can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss.

This and besides the fact that our Lord tells us this in the Gospel, I figured that this sin was pretty heavy. Since this sin involves the refusing to accept God’s mercy and the rejection of forgiveness for our sins.

And, I didn’t say a sin against the Trinity - It’s the Holy Spirit. For clarification’s sake, the Holy Spirit is one of the persons of the Trinity.

Secondly, murder and lying are two different types of sin. The gravity of them is different. One is mortal the other is venial. CCC 1854 Sins are rightly evaluated according to their gravity. the distinction between mortal and venial sin, already evident in Scripture,129 became part of the tradition of the Church. It is corroborated by human experience.
