When say that Jesus died for our sins, does that mean we Catholics believe that Jesus has cleared all our sins from when we are born until we die? If that was so, why do we still need confession? Which sins did Jesus die for? Do we believe that only the blood of Jesus could wash away our sins (i.e. not confession, good works, or purgatory) I think this is what protestants believe.
