Shem, and his sons settled mostly the area called the cradle of civilization. Elam the Persians, Ashur the Assyrians, Arphaxad the Chaldeans, Aram the Syrians. Josephus gives a detailed explanation in Book 1, Chapter 6 of his Antiquities.🙂
