Just curious to know which of these two do you believe betrayed God. Adam or Eve?

Satan, the serpent is THE deceiver who’s one goal is to lead mankind astray from God.
Romans 5:12 “therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin…”
1 Timothy 2:14 “And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.”
They both sinned and so all men sin. Therefore all die.

Nobody betrayed God.
As a father myself, whenever my young daughter does something against my instructions, I dont see it as a betrayal. She was just curious and made a mistake. I know she still loves me like crazy.

In the story itself, there’s nothing to indicate that Eve deceives Adam. If anything, Adam may have deceived Eve, either intentionally or not, if he incorrectly orally transmitted God’s commandment as not to touch the tree/fruit. Personally, I think everyone knew what they were doing.

First satan didn’t deceive Adam.
He deceived Eve.
It was Eve who then deceived Adam.
Also Scripture says:
Genesis 3:13
And the Lord God said unto the woman, “What is this that thou hast done”? And the woman said, “The serpant beguiled me, and I did eat”.
GOD PLACES THE BLAME DIRECTLY ON EVE. He said
**“What is this that thou hast done”? **
Eve did it.
Not Adam.

Eve may have said the serpent beguiled her. That doesn’t mean she was telling the truth. And God only mentions his commandment as being given to Adam.
As for Satan, he doesn’t make an appearance in the story.
Where in the scripture does it say that Eve deceived Adam in any way?

I believe Adam was with Eve when the serpent deceived them. Neither of them submitted to what God told them, or followed His will.
It says she did eat and gave it to her husband who did eat. So it appears they ate it together. Otherwise, wouldn’t Eve have received the knowledge and known she was naked while she looked for Adam?
Gen 3:6 And the woman saw that the tree was good to eat, and fair to the eyes, and delightful to behold: and she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave to her husband, who did eat.
Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened: and when they perceived themselves to be naked, they sewed together fig leaves, and made themselves aprons.
He just didn’t speak up, either to defend Eve or call on God. I think he feared the serpent. When the serpent told them if they ate the fruit, surely they would not die, it was the serpent threatening them with death. The serpent was Satan who was thrown out of heaven for disobeying/disagreeing with God. Satan was envious of God’s new creation in mankind.
Eve’s seed, down the line, is Mary and we know who her seed is.
Gen 3:15 I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
God asked the woman because Adam blamed the woman.
Gen 3:12 And Adam said: The woman, whom thou gavest me to be my companion, gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Adam didn’t speak up in Eve’s defense because he was afraid of the sacrifice he’d have to make to do so.
God told them if they ate of the fruit, they would die the death. I believe this to be a spiritual death which brought original sin to everyone after Adam and Eve because they did not die physically.
The personal name Adam derives from the Hebrew noun ha adamah meaning “the ground” or “earth,” A literal translation is “man of the red earth”.
The “new” Adam, or Son of Man, made the ultimate sacrifice as was the will of God, which allowed us to gain spiritual life again. The “new” Eve, or Mary, as we all know totally submitted to God’s will by saying, Let it be done unto me.
I read this in one of Scott Hahn’s books. More of Scott Hahn’s theory seems to be supported by reading Revelations, chapter 12.
To answer the OP’s question, neither Adam or Eve was the deceiver. It was Satan, the serpent, who deceived them.

So the fact that God said to Eve, “What hast thou done”? Isn’t putting the blame on her? Looks like it to me.

Like I said, Adam blamed the woman so God asked her about it.

I tend to agree with you on this as another angle. I had a discussion with someone about this and we think that Adam was there and Eve was there to help Adam not to sin but Adam said let’s do it anyways and her no should have been listened to and heeded so it was Adam that beguiled Eve. Our conclusion was a woman can help a man stay out of hot water looking out for him to stay spiritually safe and out of sin or not.

I think Satan was there, the old serpent, who seduceth the whole world, starting with Adam and Eve. (In my opinion.)

Adam had two jobs: care for Eve and tend the Garden. He failed at both. To me, God was asking him why he failed at both, and Adam blaimed Eve. In other words, “She kept me from doing my job.” God then asked Eve what she had done, in other words, 'Why or how did you mess Adam up." And she told about the deception of the snake.
Eve needed Adam’s help and Adam needed Eve’s support. They both let each other down.

Eve betrayed God by believing what the serpent said rather than believing what God had told them. Adam betrayed Him by going along with her. Both had ‘walked with God’ in the garden and knew Him. They knew God had given them everything they had but they still chose to believe the serpent. It’s just like we do when we accept something the world (TV, magazines, friends) tells us everybody does it and we choose to do it even though God (through the bible and the church) says it’s wrong.
