Gove me a break-the rev Phelps has about two dozen followers-most of whom are family members. To compare this kook to people who drive planes into buildings and send their sons and daughters to blow themselves up at wedding receptiosn is complete and utter nonsnense.

How many militia group members are there in the US? 4 million?

Do you all honestly believe that if the government here were as weak as a middle eastern government that they would restrain themselves to speech only?

.
The old liberal moral equavalism. Capitalism was as bad as communism. The death Penatly is as Bad as Abortion. Two dozen kooks in Topeka Kansas is a sign of an interant nation. And of course lets not forget the dreaded militias. Of course they have never really done anything but by gosh they are just as bad as Jihadists! At least is in the muddled mind of the modern Amrican Liberal

The “Rev” Fred Phelps is a joke, and a bigot - I do not like him  anywho, with that out of the way…

Isn’t this thread meant to be about that fantastic place - Europe.
You know my Welsh wife never really considered Britain part of Europe. i wonder if this is a common atitude?

And how would you define the person who is not the American liberal.

People who keep international peace through legitimate warfare, always informed, but despite supporting “The World Police” on their oil chasing path of destruction, we can be sure that they have the moral high ground?

Maybe that’s because your Welsh wife lives in America?

I however live in Britain, and after Blair’s presidency of our European gathering, I have faith in his words:

“Europe is our future” - he is right you know.

P.S. - If there is any nation in the UK less qualified to pass comment about Britain - it is Wales 😃 😛 It is sad but we Welsh have to accept it 😛 - (joke)

I would define one who pulls out the old, tired, it’s all about oil nonsesne, as an Old American Liberal even if they are a youg british liberal.

Very common… and I mostly agree with this sentiment.

Oh please, you are just so flattering…

I am not that liberal, chosing not to support the war, and being cynical about American politics is just the way many young Brits are nowadays…

Besides, I do think the ol’ oil argument is rather convincing, I mean your president is a Texas oil baron, it just fits so well…

I just appear liberal by comparison, I have said it before, in America, politics is just right and further right, merely a different shade of blue - or at least the parties that are followed.

Where as we have people like George Galloway etc. - He is always good for abit of entertainment, in fact I saw his senate comitee thing the other day, and I found it quite fun to watch.

Besides that, you have so much left to see, really, you have seen nothing yet - “Watch out, Libero’s about” - just get me started on anything to do with Nuclear stuff… 😛 😃

Ahh no, you know you want us to be part of Europe really, it is like a nice extended family - we can share in others cultures.

The days of the empire are gone, it is time to take our place along side the others who we have had such historical times with…

Where did you ever get the idea that Presdient Bush was an Oil Baron??? Why di i get the feeling that everything you know about the texas oil industry yuo learned from “dallas”

At any rate since Clinto was a serial sex abuser and perhaps the most promisocuos Presdient of all time can we assume he went into Bosnia to keep the brothels open?

Now I would trust you, but I simply can’t - your view seems rather biased, particularly after having seen all the praise you gave to Mr Bush on the other thread.

Besides that, what is “dallas” - the place?

Look at Bush’s career, that is where you get the idea he is all about oil - he has a history with it.

Watch his speeches, for a man who usually struggles to express himself, he seemed very knowledgable on the matter of oil, using alot of the technical language, just seems a little strange…

Lret me get this straight -since i have lived in Texas for 28 yeras, have a large number of clients in the Oil and gas Industry (some of who really are oil barons) that means my opinion is suspect. You, OTH, whio have probably never sseen an oil rig and probably wouldn’t know a sludge truck if it ran over you, are immenently qualified to lecture to the rest of us.

First of all, calm down.

Secondly - you need to revise your understanding of “lecture”, as my discussion certainly does not constitute “lecturing”

Thirdly, living somewhere does not mean you are suddenly an expert in a given field associated with the area.

Fourthly, have you seen Bushs’ career information, he was strongly involved with Harken and Arbusto Energy. I quote this:
Early in his professional life, Bush ran, or was a partner in a number of oil companies, including Arbusto Energy, Spectrum 7, and the Harken Energy Corporation.
So you would have me believe that his entire lifes work with oil was merely a “hobby” would you?

Liberals always lecture others about issues of which they know next to nothing. See Barbara Streisand. Bush haters are well known for their avoidance of any facts that contradict their ideology.

Yes, as I understand it all liberals are direct clones of Barbara Streisand - hmmmm.

I know lot’s of them. They all pretty much say the same things. While they praise diversity they don’t have any of it.

LOL-about 30% of my clients are partners in oil related partnerships. That does not make one an “oil baron” by any stretch of the imaginatiopn. You see Libro you cant learn everything by googling then cut n pasting and acting like that makes you an expert.

Whilst your humour is undeniably incredible, I am a miserbale looser and therefore do not think you funny in the slightest.

I do not google and paste “everything” and having 30% of your clients at an accounting firm being involved in the oil industry does not make one an expert, that is simply stupid. I could think of so many ways to prove this, but I do not have the time to reel them all out.

Libero,

Thanks for explaining the score so clearly.

Apparently in America, if you do not believe nuking muslims someday might be acceptable, you are a muslim.

And if you are british, you won’t be suspected of being muslim for supporting the idea, but you will be labeled a leftist radical who is ungrateful to America for all her “favors” over the years.

That’s me - the left as it has never existed before… 🙂 😛
