On a serious note, I find it tremendously offensive and discouraging that there are so many people here who clearly believe that if you are Catholic, you are required to hate Muslims and leave nuclear weapons on the table for them.

It just shows that the Catholic community is vulnerable to letting bias, fear, and ignorance push some members to reject their faiths and turn to violence.

What a model of our Faith you all who think muslim-hating is appropriate have made for the rest of the world.

I would think that a man who is a Certified Public Accountant and owner of two accounting firms in an area where the oil and gas industry are a mainstay of economic life would know quite a bit about that industry. It’s actually quite big here in my area too and we have producing rigs offshore and inland. There is a plethora of small firms which are associated with the oil and gas business and I know because I am involved in getting them licensed to bid and perform work. They are in no way, shape or form “oil barons”. What you see on TV (Dallas - the TV program) is nowhere near an accurate representation of American life or of the American people. And that is the problem with the rest of the world, you take what is put out over the media and by the liberals on the east and west coast as gospel even though it does not come close to the reality of the average American’s life, our thoughts, and our beliefs. In that you make a grave mistake, just as your pal bin Laden did.

And Pro? It is far more likely that an American city will be nuked by your peace loving friends than the opposite. And there will once again be dancing in the streets of the Islamic world just like after September 11.

neither muslim-hating nor are we required to hate muslims or others. Mohammad/islam/jibriil have nothing to do with God or the Bible coz mohammad who denied Jesus as Son of God is an anti-Christ and he is accursed because he taught a different gospel…we hate islam not muslims…muslims are a prey to mohammad’s lies who proclaimed himself a prophet to get beautiful wordly “privileges” from his deity.

I do not google and paste “everything” and having 30% of your clients at an accounting firm being involved in the oil industry does not make one an expert, that is simply stupid. I could think of so many ways to prove this, but I do not have the time to reel them all out.

Oh my-lets not let FACTS get in the way of opinion. i am sure that you, as Student in the Heart of England ,are much more well versed on the Oil Industry than little old me-who merely obtains(and has so for 26byears) a substantial part of his income from people involved in it.

So libero-you say Bush was an oil baron. Do you know what his firms were involved in? Was he the gereral partner or a ltd partner? Does it matter? Would it make any difference to his baronship if he was involved in an LLC instead of a Partnership? Would it have been advisable for him to operate as a Corp? Do you know what the current depletion rate for oil wells are? Do you know what it means to have a working interest in an oil well? Did Bush or his firms have working interest in wells?Do you know why Oil Royalties are exempt from Texas community property laws? If a person makes a lot of money hauling saltwater from oil wells does that make him an oil baron or a saltwater baron? If a Texan owns oil wells and cattle is he an oil barron or a cattle baron?
 
We have every reason to fear Islamic terrorism. They have already attacked us. And we have every right to defend ourselves and to destroy any ideology that seeks to destroy us. If 911 hadn’t happened we would not be having this conversation. Stop defending terrorism pro or should I say Muhammed.

I have never heard anyone express this opinion. I have about a dozen muslim clients-somew have been clients for 25 years. I dont hate them, i am a Catholic and dont have any Catholic friends who hate them nor do i know anyone who beleive catholics are required to hate Mulims.

I will relate a rather humorous story-one of my longest standing Muslim Clients took me out to lunch last month. He tried to Covert me! Here i am eating my slad when he launches into a lecture on worshiping three Gods is an unforgiveable sin. We were, however, still friends after desert!
 
Pro, instead of showing up everytime islam is attacked, it’d be better to preach the gospel or to show that the preaching of mohammad and his teachings are agaisnt God which considers them shamful and sinful…instead of defending them, try to save them…i feel pitty for them because they lack the existence of Jesus in their lives which is a great loss…if you dont want to preach or anything, then do not defend their false teachings cuz if you defend a lie, knowing it is a lie, you are commiting a sin against God’s truth.

Let me draw out some main points:
  1. Anyone who says muslims should not be nuked must be a muslim.
  2. Anyone who is not an American and says that 1 might not be true is a pinko-commie from Britain.
  3. Bush is not an oil baron, and his policies have nothing to do with oil politics.
Pretty soon we’re going to be arguing about whether or not man landed on the moon and whether or not muslims shot JFK using a time-machine built by the anti-Christ.

This is absurd.
 
Correction. I said the US would probably nuke them if we were attacked with wmd. I stated a fact not an opinion. And if oil were the reason for the war then why haven’t the prices reflected it? We could just take it all right now. But we didn’t and we don’t. Case closed.

Whats funny is that during Bush’s 2000 campaign much was made of the fact his Oil Companies were such dismal fialures-now suddenly he is trnasformed into an “Oil Barron”.

Most people involved in the Oil and gas industry are hardworking , honest people just trying to scratch out a living like the rest of us. They, and those who have them as clients, took quite a blow last fall with back to back to hurricanes in the Gulf (yes Libero, a lot of my clients work in oil platforms in the gulf) but we are getting back to normal.

In the past 16 years the following oil fields have been ours for the taking:
  1. Saudi Arabia
  2. kuwait
  3. Iraq. yet we have not seizedone drop of oil form any of these countries
The Arabs balme everytnng wrong in the world on a Jewsih Conspiracy. The LEFT blames big oil(and increasingly they blame the Jews also). Yet when you try engage them in a conversation about it you realize they have not a clue on how the oil industry works. The idea that becuase Bush once ran two failed oil companies makes him a tool of big opil is about as logical that Clintons obsession with promisouity makes him a tool of the Condom companies.

agree…thats why i said : if you don’t want to preach, then at least do not defend lies when you know the truth coz defending lies is a sin. If i see someone commiting a sin, its my duty to advise him…

No TRUTH is TRUTH. The person has nothing to do with it. Fortunatley the Son of God came to Earth, died for our sins and founded a Church that contains the WHOLE TRUTH.
 
Either Jesus Christ is the Son of God, True God; True Man or we Christians have lived two thousand years of lies. I don’t think so. But it is not us who are sending terrorists across the length and breadth of Islam, is it? It is not us who are kidnapping peaceful Islamic missionaries and executing them, is it? Seems to me the problem is not militant Christianity but militant Islam. So when Spain rolls over and plays dead for Islam, how different are they from Neville Chamberlin and the Nazis? While they may be the descendants of Rodrigo Diaz de Bivar and of the Reconquista, they have acted like they are French and like the French they will suffer the conqueror’s heel and surrender and once again it will be American blood which will be shed in Europe. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
