if there is no proof that he learned greek we cant say that he did šŸ™‚
when you claim something dont ask me to prove the falseness of it simply bec you have to support your words:)
Gee I thought you knew everything. If you did indeed know everything as you think you do, you’d know about the wide spead use of Greek by many jewish communities in those days. Maybe, just maybe you dont’ now it all. What do ya think? :hmmm:

He already did. Don’t blame Bel if you don’t understand english.

Jesus preached out of the LXX. That proves he spoke greek.

what we can depend on is the herbew one simply bec its the nearest one to origin of both OT (it was in herbew ) and OT (was in aramaic)šŸ™‚

Ahmadhassan ~ With all due respect ~

To those of us who have grown up in Christianity, the fact that Jesus spoke Aramaic, a form of Greek, is common knowledge. This is a FACT, not open to debate. We do not have to do your research for you, you can do it yourself. That you do not know the language spoken by Jesus is no reason to continue your posts on the subject.

It would be better, and you would gain more respect, if you would educate yourself before coming to a place and trying to argue with people about THEIR religion. Just a friendly suggestion šŸ™‚

Because of Alexander the Great’s conquests in the area, most Jews spoke Greek. They used the Septuagint which was in Greek. The apostles and the Early Church Fathers concurred with this. Only the Jews right around Jerusalem were still using Hebrew.

The Gospels are really the work of those to whom they have been always attributed, although this attribution may perhaps be explained by a more or less mediate authorship. Thus, the Apostle St. Matthew, having written in Aramaic, did not himself put into Greek the canonical Gospel which has come down to us under his name. However, the fact of his being considered the author of this Gospel necessarily supposes that between the original Aramaic and the Greek text there is, at least, a substantial conformity. The original text of St. Matthew is certainly prior to the ruin of Jerusalem, there are even reasons for dating it earlier than the Epistles of St. Paul and consequently about the year 50. We know nothing definite of the date of its being rendered into Greek.

You are mixing apples and oranges here. i was only speaking about whether or not Jesus knew Greek. I was not speaking about the language of the gospels in either an oral tradition form nor the written from.

Um, you know there weren’t any Gospels in the scriptures Jesus used, don’t you?

What language did Jesus speak? Any one he wanted to… Being God he’d know them all.:tiphat:

Why is it the person who started this thread seems to want to be provocative…

God is love and Jesus is God. Jesus came to save man from damnation…he did not abuse people by insults etc…he loved one and all…read your bible.

hi ,this topic about a situation in the bible that no muslim do believe it ,we believe that its a lie told about prophet isa peace be upon him
and i wanna discuss it šŸ™‚
Matthew 15:22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, ā€œLord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.ā€

23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, ā€œSend her away, for she keeps crying out after us.ā€

24He answered, ā€œI was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.ā€

25The woman came and knelt before him. ā€œLord, help me!ā€ she said.

26He replied, ā€œIt is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.ā€

27"Yes, Lord," she said, ā€œbut even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.ā€

28Then Jesus answered, ā€œWoman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.ā€ And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Dogs refer to those outside the House of Israel. In other words, non-Jews (gentiles). I would be considered a dog in that verse as do you.

they will call you non-christian for saying that šŸ™‚
Yea… I know but the Bible says not to judge. The Word of God says I’ve become the Seed of Abraham through faith.

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Hbr 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2Cr 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

but the bible was written in aramaic (christ language ) ,what about herbew? (from which greek one was made )šŸ™‚
even in both case , its an insult to call someone dog ,small or big
i will see the herbew šŸ™‚
What are you going on about? Your ā€œGodā€ and Muhammad insulted the Jews by calling them apes and monkeys!
