Who are the born American saint? Bx and venerables?

Oh no saints, since 1492. Oh, there is probably something wrong you do. Maybe you should change some way of seeing Christian life.

American born Saints (there are more blesseds)

Saint Katharine Drexel, S.B.S., (November 26, 1858 – March 3, 1955)
Saint Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton, S.C., (August 28, 1774 – January 4, 1821)
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, (1656 – April 17, 1680)

Kateri Tekakwitha, no, when she born/die, the territory belong to New France, sorry. And she die at Ville Lasalle, Montreal, Quebec. - Not part of USA. Her tomb is not in USA eather.

She was born in what is now the USA. Nonetheless, Drexel and Seton stand. What exactly are you trying to prove?

Since English is not your first language, perhaps we’re missing something with your posts, but with this comment and your other on the 9/11 thread calling patriotism a heresy, you seem to have something against America. I hope that is not the case. Would you please explain your comment about 1492 here…

Yes, I wondered what he was getting at, too. Some of his other posts on a different thread showed a disdain for remembering the victims of the 9/11 attacks in his parish bulletin and then calling patriotism within the Church a heresy. :confused:

I was just asking who where the saints born in USA. Yes there is many heresy in the catholic church in USA. Are you surprised? Do you think it’s perfect? The church in US make grave mistakes that one day will ask forgiveness about, I hope.

About the parish bulletin, it dose not say what will never forget.

I don’t think you understand what exactly the term “heresy” means in regard to the Catholic Church…in the US or other places. Perhaps you could list what you think is heresy with the Church in America.

No, I do not think you are ignorant at all, I just don’t think you understand what heresy actually is. That is why I requested you list what you think is heresy in the Church.

Heresy or mistake. Ex: at my parish I made a formal request to pray for peace every time we pray for military.** It was denied.**
But prayer for military are every week. War is so important and peace not important. Let’s pray so they crush the enemy and comeback alive.

I am sorry that your request was denied. Not knowing your priest or parish, it is hard to make a call on why that might have happened. Do they actually pray to crush the enemy and comeback alive or do they simply pray for those in military service fighting for our country? If that is the prayer or something similar, I’m sure one might come to different conclusions on what it means. For me, hearing those words mean for our soldiers and sailors to come home safely.
