Who are the "Disciples" throughout John's Gospel

I had never heard of “Pseudo-Hippolytus” until now. Is he the only source for the belief that James the Just was one of the seventy[-two] apostles in Luke 10?

An article on the New Advent website, “St. James the Less”, claims that all of the references to James are most likely of the same person, in all instances where James is mentioned.

As many academics and other Christians would say, James was a common name. The identification of James the Just with James the Less started with Jerome; it was an innovation rather than a tradition.
