Well, I didn’t intend it to be. I had thought Lutherans might say Luther and also name some of his followers who carried on his tradition. That would make sense to me. When Preacher Vern named all those men (and I’m pretty sure Huss didn’t teach what Luther did) it threw me. Then SIA agreed. So, I guess my question really is: in what way are these men the fathers of your church? What do they have in common that your tradition would consider them its fathers?
