I’ve heard of these people before and have encountered them a few times. They sneak up on you in public places and ask you if you’ve ever heard about “Mother God” almost like Evangelists asking if you’ve been saved. Today some young man came up to me wanting to convert me, I’m sure. I told him that he has no idea what he’s doing and that it’s a very dangerous thing to be getting himself into.

But could anybody shed some light on who exactly these people are and what they believe so I can be better equipped to deal with them in the future?

God Bless,

No one has ever done that to me. I must look unapproachable.😉 The funny thing is that I could be standing in a group of 100 people and people will often ask others to move in order to get to me to ask directions. Little do they know that I have the world’s worst sense of direction. I am the worst person possible to ask.:o 😊

I guess I look like I don’t need to be saved yet I know where I am going. It is kind of ironic in a bad way.🤷

(-]Strikethroughs/-] mine)

I think this link might be a good one to start with seeing as its article from* A Catholic Response* has been given a NIHIL OBSTAT and IMPRIMATUR:

[/-] ](http://users.binary.net/polycarp/momgod.html)

Mother -]God/-] also appears to have incorporated Hinduism, the Chinese Quan Yin and others to form a universal (flawed) idea of Mother -]God/-].

It was probably inevitable , but, at this site someone had the audacity to take an image of the Immaculate Conception and incorporate it into their Mother -]God/-] video agenda (scroll about 25% of the way down to the third video and one can clearly see an the image of the Immaculate Conception being used in one of their information videos).

That same site is promoting a book entitled the Gospel of our Mother -]God/-] .They claim *“It is not a “Goddess book” in any current sense of the term. It is not influenced by Wicca, neo-paganism or New Age ideas. It is not a “feminist spirituality” text” *. I’m sure it’s still a big mess.

The precise label I would choose to give that book, probably couldn’t be posted here at CAF .🙂

There is also a Korean semi-Christian church that believes “Mother God” now lives and teaches. Many followers take trips to Korea to meet her. Formally they are the World Mission Church of God. They are one of the two major denominations that worship or once worshiped You can start here: english.watv.org/intro/introduction.asp and jeungsando.org/. The latter (JeungSanDo) has their own particular scripture, Dojeon (jsd.or.kr/dojeon/readen.php?c=dojeonen) which narrates the fabulous life and miracles of the new Savior Ahnsahnghong. Those who follow the “Mother God” have a version, I believe, with additional narration about her life. And of course Mormons used to believe in a Mother God, for whom neglecting to worship they claimed it would diminish their worship of Father God. Nowadays, Mormons are in a state of flux, which looks like it will conclude with a rejection of the concept of a Mother God, as well as God’s before “this earth’s God”.
