I forgot about Lucille Ball…she was great. But I don’t remember seeing her in a movie.

There is a movie with Lucille Ball and Bob Hope called “The Facts of Life” made in the early 1960’s.

They portray a couple who are married to other people. They are contemplating an affair and divorcing their spouses to be together.

It’s good. There are no love scenes, but it is a bit uncomfortable to see Lucy and Bob Hope check into a motel together. (nothing happens)

What is good about the film is that it does portray divorce etc in a negative light.

She’s really good in all those mysteries with Morgan Freeman, yes. Really. I don’t watch the movies with the really old actors fro the most part.

It’s just that she hasn’t done many movies recently, although I have to say she’s a pretty good actress.

p.s. I would also add that Amy Adams deserves recognition for her acting chops.

And of course, Lucy was always known for having the best gams in the biz! Her best picture was “Stagedoor” (1937) with Katherine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers. She was also wonderful in “DuBarry was a Lady” (1943), a musical with Red Skelton. You can see both from time to time on TCM.

I loved her "I Love Lucy: shows too, and Carol Burnett is another one I really liked. Sure beats anything they have on TV today. I do watch a lot of the old movies on TCM. God Bless, Memaw
