We see only Dominicans (God’s dogs) as the theologian of the Pope. It started from the time of the founder St. Dominic himself. It was considered as the great privilege of the Order of St. Dominic, an Order blessed with great intellectual saints. But I heard that Pope John Paul had decreed that it is not necessary that a Dominican be the Papal theologian. Is it true? But now too it is a Dominican who is the Theologian. Who can be the Theologian of Pope (for it is the Master of the Dominican Order who provides the Theologian to Pope)?
