St Augustine was a great defender of the Faith and the Church against heresies and he was a convert. ask him for help. how about St Ignatius?
Augustine is not out of the picture for sure, I’ve been reading bits and pieces of City of God and I am liking it. I can’t do Ignatius because my friend chose him this year (he converted before I did) and I just can’t do that. If he hadn’t though Ignatius would be high on the list. 🙂

👍 👍

And I meant Saint Ignatius of Antioch, his Epistle to the Romans is really inspiring.
yes, he is the one i had in mind.

hey, St Paul is also a great name. God knows we need St Paul in our times to fight for the Truth in the Church.

I have noticed that not all of the parishes require it but some do, The parish I am going through RCIA classes is having us start to do research on the saints for our confirmation names and the question did come up if it was required and it is for us. I am seriously considering St. Zachary (Zacharias) Patron Saint of Peace. but also looking into other names.

Does it matter? I see people talking about this a lot on here and elsewhere, I’m pretty sure we didn’t have a saint. We had to have a confirmation name but no saint that I can remember.
