This person said it is okay to eat meat on a Friday in Lent. It’s not. Broth – probably fine, I’m not sure; pieces of meat – no way, sorry. Jimmy Akin is a great layperson but he is no canon lawyer; not to mention the fact that he said in the comments below his piece that he hates the tradition of abstinence altogether. Please take down this post or fix it.

I’m sorry to nitpick, and I’m sure you get it too much already, but this is a rather obvious blunder that should be fixed.

The post is correct. If you disagree, then please provide substantiation for your assertion from the Church’s documents. Simply stating that the information is wrong is not adequate substantiation.
