“And she blinded me with science!” Unlike technology, I believe “science” is hogwash.

Where does technology come from? Surely, we do not have the innate wit to figure out how to manufacture simple boxes of toothpicks! Does anybody really believe that we were able to bring our society to where it is today based on our own VERY LIMITED innate wit? “Open your eyes, see the lies right in front of you!”

If technology does not flow from earthly scientific method? Where does technology come from? I do not know! But it does not come from our very limited innate wit. Designing a computer is actually easy compared to designing and building all the machines and apparatuses necessary to build computers! Heck, we do not have the innate wit to manufacture the packaging that the computer chips come in!

Go ahead, take a close look around you and tell me which of it you could design if asked to do so. Heck, take a dozen college professors with you and see how far you get.

I would say that whoever first developed the toothpick technology would needed to have relied on trial and error, and taken far more than a lifetime to perfect. Imagine all the technology that needed to be developed in the past 150 years or so. Trial and error is not allowed when it comes to this type of technology due to time constraints. Things just don’t add up when analyzing this.

Could all this have come about from “brainy” people? Well, I spent my whole life searching for these “brainy” people (which included a PhD from UCLA) and I never met anyone who comes close to having the wit necessary to figure these things out. For certain Jews, there exist multiple worlds, with our world being the lowest! Come on, do you really think people like us have the intelligence to create a computer chip? What IQ do you expect these “brainy” people to have? My non-verbal IQ is close to 3 standard deviations above the mean and I consider myself to be a total moron compared to the IQ necessary to create these things!

Am I insinuating some other intelligent beings have created these things? I think so! What else could it be? Being a total idiot here is VERY humbling to me… “They” say that we humans use just 10% of our brain. Perhaps there exists super intelligent human beings that are able to use 100% of their brains! What I’m suggesting sounds profound, I know, but again, what else could it be?

Had a bad day, Robert? 😃

Columnist George Will once noted that nobody has the knowledge to make a pencil. It takes a vast industrial complex manned by thousands of specialists in thousands of skills to make a pencil.

So what? We know what a pencil is good for and may even use it in own specialty,
like waiting on tables. :bigyikes:

It’s simple.

All these complicated things are the sums of their individual simple parts.

Like the computer you’re using now operates by means of pre-programmed actions, each of which is broken down into simply actions until such time as it gets to the simplest, i.e the processing of an individual byte of memory in one of a limited number of ways.

If you tried to conceive of the whole computer programme that makes the mouse pointer move on the screen and not what is metaphorically ‘underneath’ the mouse pointer, and then to react to various other external (name removed by moderator)uts, to produce the pixels on the screen that make up the pictures you’re looking at, etc… you’d stop before you ever started. But because thousands of individual people all programmed lots of individual bits of your computer system, and all of those were built upon the work of thousands of people who came before them, what you’ve got is sort of an upside down pyramid of achievement… from one very small acorn comes a very large oak tree…

All that goes on in the world is, indeed, too much for one brain to comprehend… but there are billions of brains out there… and what we see is the sum of all their activities. And it’s pretty amazing, don’t you think?

Oh, and in answer to the question, ‘who controls our world?’ - well the answer is nobody and everybody.

Vanity of vanities! All is vanity. What advantage does man have in all his work which he does under the sun? . . . That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? Already it has existed for ages which were before us. There is no remembrance of earlier things, and also of the later things which will occur; there will be for them no remembrance among those who will come later still.
–Ecclesiastes 1:2-3, 7–11

I think tradition is a part of it. We learn and develop and pass on our progress and ideas. The next generation builds on that.

In philosophy, there is a similar progressive pattern. Aristotle develops Plato’s ideas and St. Thomas Aquinas builds on Aristotle’s work.

I don’t think that anyone, except by the grace of God, could develop our present technology from square one. It’s limitation of human nature. We can be bright, but usually our culture and ideas develop over time and future generations refine them.

The idea of aliens is interesting, but it doesn’t seem likely. I could be wrong, however. If it were true, it’d bring up questions, interesting questions. Do aliens on another world have perfect integrity or do they need a Savior?

Robert, you are just wrong. God created this world for man and told us to use it as a means to our salvation. To that end he gave man a rational soul and a free will as the proper means to make the world conform to His Will, for our proper end - Himself.

Yes, man can and has worked marvels with the material of God’s creation. And God has cooperated with every act in the sense of suppling the power of our intellect and free will. And He knew some of the things we would do would be evil but that is the value He places on the freedom He gave us to serve Him freely. It was the only way.

This is what the Church teaches and what the Fathers taught and what Christ taught. It is also what St. Thomas and all of the Church’s loyal philosophers and Theologians have always taught. Linus

The answer is going to sound like a crazy conspiracy theory, but Satan does through his followers. If you do a modicum of research, you will find a list of names that influence every field that affects our modern culture. You also have things that are hard to believe like presidents engaging in pagan rituals in Bohemian Grow. We want to believe that it is symbolic and not actually their beliefs… Lucis Trust stands for Lucifer’s Trust, and UN leaders sometimes promote it.The easiest thread to pull back and reveal the conspiracy is understanding the corrupt banking system. A second place to start is understanding population control.

Who controls our world?

Animals and human populations generally operate on…Fear…appetite…emotion…and some reason mixed in here and there.

There are 2 kinds of “controllers”. The ones who rule by force…manipulating raw fear and appetite. And, the ones “who control” by giving the emotionally (and sometimes intellectually) soothing perception of relieving fear…appetite concerns.

When God is removed from a population’s overarching view…then fear-based control increases.

Robert,

Your opening ramble was a mess.

To answer the questions: the money-changers control the world.

Peace,
Ed

So sorry about my prose, but our world cannot sustain itself if we earthlings were in control. Look at the way our society has grown in the past 150 years and tell me that WE are responsible? Look at the 7 billion people living on this earth and tell me that we Earthlings keep them from revolting? The list goes on and on that there must be a higher order form of intelligence must rule over us.

Robert, you are something else. You consistently ask provocative and imponderable questions. I will not attempt to answer this one as there are layers of an onion to unpeel.

God’s peace be with you

Perhaps your question was broached earlier: forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=143361

I would think that:

If God rules our world then Satan has no chance in h**l!

If God allows Satan to rule our world then we have no chance in Heaven!

If God and Satan control our world then Free Will (Good vs Evil) must exist - which it does!

If we control our world then what?

Much Peace!

Mike 🙂
