Well, you’ll be interested to know that I had class last night, and with your tutoring, managed to to pull this off! I had the kids all read relevant scripture…Both creation stories, Cain in Nod, Abraham marries his half sister, Sarah; and in Leviticus, where God forbids marriage of family members. Then they paired up and answered a bunch of questions…one being, ‘who did Cain marry?’
They left the class knowing that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, that we all had one set of ‘first’ parents and they could use the Bible, as well as their own reasoning to explain and defend their Faith.
And if you could, say a Hail Mary for these 8th graders?? I’ve consecrated the class to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
