Okay, I’m Catholic but who goes to Heaven:

Is it just people who are in the Catholic Church?
Is it just Christians in general?
Or can people of all faiths go to Heaven, if they’re a good person?

Great question!

👍

I think Catholics and Protestants might both agree that all saints go to Heaven upon death. Where they might disagree is on what makes a person a saint.

Also, Catholics believe that non-saints can still make it to heaven after doing some time in Purgatory, which is not as good as Heaven, but not as bad as Hell.

What do you think?

🙂

What does the Catechism teach? There’s your answer.

1-No.
2-No.
3-Yes, but it’s a bit more complicated than that. Do some research like the Cathechism, various other books, etc.

And for the record, Yankee fans are unable to attain salvation in any form.

Everyone that Jesus places in the “sheep” crowd to His right… See Matthew 25:31 - 46

God bless and thanks for a wonderful, thought provoking question!

Hopefully me and Lee from Lee’s Hickory Smoked Barbecue in Hurst Texas. 😃

Addressing one post here (and sorry if this seems very off-topic): I’m studying the Catechism myself… but this is a forum, and so it’s very useful to have elaborations on all sorts of topics. We don’t always know where to look in the Catechism either (especially if we’re new to it). Or, we might simply want a quick answer/clarification for when we’re just about to rush out the door and don’t have enough time to sit down and meditate on the Catechism. Just saying. 😉

I can help you with where in the Catechism to look (start around 830). I’ll let your fellow Catholics elaborate on the meaning.
