No, not semantics.
If I’m driving to work and run a red light without thinking of the consequences that’s a mistake.
If I’m driving to work and run a red light, seeing a car coming, knowing I will hit it and possibly hurt a person, and still do it anyone knowing I will cause an accident…then I move into that definition of mortal sin I discussed earlier.
