An opponent of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts says he was barred from a public event at the State House in Boston in which two Catholic lawmakers were honored by a homosexual advocacy group.

Brian Camenker of the group Article 8 Alliance tried to attend the ceremony Thursday hosted by Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry. But he told WorldNetDaily a police officer angrily ordered him to leave after he was recognized by homosexual-rights advocates in attendance.

At the event, state Rep. Marie P. St. Fleur and state Sen. Marian Walsh told the audience their Catholic faith inspired them to support same-sex marriage, despite clear pronouncements against it from Pope John Paul II and Boston Archbishop Sean P. O’Malley.

It would seem that since pro-life gays can be banned from the March for Life and gay Irish can be banned from the St. Patrick’s Day parade, that the social rule is that the host gets to do the inviting. Crashing someone else’s party is in poor form.

Apples and oranges K2. The people banned from the other events had signs and designation that they were from a homosexual group. The person banned here was simply recognized. It did not say she was carrying any signs or trying to promote her cause. When we discussed the homosexuals who wished to march in the proLife event, the issue was their insistence on promoting their agenda/group/cause instead of focusing on the prolife issue. I am quite sure there were homosexuals at the March for Life and the St Paddy’s parade. However despite all protestations to the contrary, one does not pass through a ‘gaydar’ machine in order to attend.

Say I thought you were giving up CA for lent?

hardly. however they excerized it, both the March and the parade asserted they had absolute authority to allow who they willed. Sorry, its still bad manners to crash a party.
