Who has the right to say someone is going to hell?

Just as an aside, the moderators said in one thread that we shouldn’t call anyone a troll.🙂

I agree no one, but God, can say who is in hell. But we can point out that certain types of behavior is sinful.
And I have been officially chastised over the entire “troll” issue. However, rather than “feeding the troll”, we are often nourishing many who read and absorb what we say, such as those who are returning to the church, or sincerely looking into it. Our posts often reach eyes of which we do not know, so I am well advised to remain charitable in my responses. This is a challenge, however.

Christ’s peace be with all.

My opinion. We as human beings can not say someone is definitely going to Hell. But, we would be remiss if we did not point out to someone that it was a real possibility. God could hold us responsible for another’s condemnation if we refused to charitably tell them the truth of their actions.

I agree with a few posts.

We are not in any position to judge the condition of anyones soul, ever. period.

That being said however, it is our absolute duty to judge peoples actions, loudly in my opinion. When we witness a sin, and say nothing, we are pretty much saying its ok. But if we speak up, and point out the error, then much can be learned from it.

I get mad when people point out my sins, but in the grand scheme of things I appreciate being held accountable

The problem with this thread is that it is phrased as if no matter what we do we will recieve salvation. If we commit murder God still loves us therefore we will still go to heaven. But the fact is that the scriptures say that the gate that leads to salvation is narrow and the way to destruction is wide. Hell is certainly a possibility for us. But we as humans can’t say any specific person is going to hell because as the scriptures say God is the only one who searches mens hearts.

i really like the quote “hate the sin, love the sinner”. i think it pretty much goes along with everything everyone is saying.

NO ONE but God absolutely has the right to say anything about the state of someone’s soul, or if they will go to heaven or hell if they die.

you can know that they sinned (as have you and everyone else in the world), but only God can judge their hearts and their immortal souls.

Must agree here. Noone can tell and many will be surprised.
