I’m not exactly a gamer, per se.

However, I do enjoy playing them when the opportunity arises.

I’ve played video games since I was at least in middle school. This doesn’t include generic computer games during the age of Windows 98, 2000, ME, etc. (I admit I was a fan of Math Blaster. =P )

Lately, I’m into shooters and fighters games.

Any titles you have in mind?

I was hoping somebody would start another video game thread :p. I remember playing my first video game when I was 3 years old. My grandfather bought me an SNES and the first game he got for me was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I used to play through the dungeons but then the bosses would scare me so I’d wait for him to visit and make him fight the bosses :D. I didn’t like the red game over screen. Zelda is still my favorite video game franchise to this day.

I’ve been working on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix that came out last fall over the past couple of weeks. This is the first time I got to play Re: Chain of Memories and some of the boss battles are a little difficult (getting sick of fighting Riku over and over again). Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is coming out in a month and I’m looking forward to that.
(I admit I was a fan of Math Blaster. =P )
Is that the game with the green space alien astronaut guy that has you do math minigames? And he had a girlfriend if I remember correctly. If so I think I used to play that either at home or at the elementary school. The Incredible Machine was another one I used to play at that age on PCs.

If I had it I would play a game of Asteroids tonight.

Gaming is one of my biggest hobbies. I have been gaming since the age of 2 or 3; started with NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis. Later became obsessed with Pokemon, other GBC/GBA/DS games and the PSP. Probably my biggest console gaming was with the Gamecube and PS1/PS2.

I’m still a huge console gamer (PS3; I do have an original XBOX but not a 360). I play with a small group of people weekly/every other week that I met online (PS3) and they are great (or in this case, they think I am great lol).

I was also a PC gamer throughout high school and that continued into college. Haven’t done PC gaming for a few years now just due to the fact that I don’t have a good place to set my laptop and I don’t want anymore sore back aches. But truly, I have to agree with PC gamers that they are the master race. I think buying a $1,000-$2,000 gaming PC is a complete waste of money though.

Currently I’m pretty big on playing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Fallout: New Vegas, Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Dragon Age: Origins, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Obviously I’m not playing all these games at once but usually I play whatever I feel like. Skyrim is my biggest addiction now though when gaming.

I currently don’t own a PS4 or XboxOne, but I may get a PS4 in the next year or so. I waited 4-5 years before buying a PS3 (to drop down in price) but I’ll wait and see about the PS4. Not too many good games out for either of those systems right now. The new-gen games I am interested in are Destiny and Elder Scrolls Online.

I originally started as a PC guy. Math Blaster did help me out in my math skills. There were other obscure games whom I’ve forgotten their titles.

I had friends who played the N64 and PS1. I was so jealous.

I was eventually given a hand-me-down Original Nintendo. I had all Super Mario Bros, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, Operation WOLF, Duck Hunt. Good times, even if it was too retro for me. MY parents eventually gave it away because I was addicted to it.

Forward up to early 2000’s and the first game I ever bought on the PS2 was Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. Oh, the memories…

I was able to get some other titles here and there but they were games that I were picked out ahead of time. Didn’t like that at all.

I also went back to PC gaming and played Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Trophy Hunter 2003.

Due to school and work, I don’t do it as much as I did before. But now that I earn my own money, I hope to get my own XboxOne and get Killer Instinct.

My husband plays much more games than I do (so do my kids for that matter, lol). He plays PS3 games like Dragon Age, Black Ops, Mass Effect, etc.

My kids are big into Disney Infinity right now.

I’ve been playing Ni No Kuni, but I"m not that far into it. I do play Animal Crossing New Leaf everyday, I love my villagers! 🙂

I like video games (having grown up playing them) but I had to sell my X-Box after getting it from my wife as a present when we where first married. Too addictive for me. I wasted waaaaay too much time. 😉

It’s my stress relief. I mostly play shooters and the like. My husband got me hooked on Halo when we got married. I’m perhaps a tad bit obsessed with the whole Mass Effect series. And by that, I mean I still play all 3 games repeatedly. Between my husband and I playing we’ve actually worn out our original discs of the second and third games.

I’m also a fan of Fallout 3, the Tomb Raider games, the Bioshock games, and the Fable series. I don’t have much time to play any more but after a rough day, I make sure to set aside a few minutes to play.

I used to love fighting games as well! XD I used to play the Mortal Kombats, the Street Fighters, Capcom VS SNK, Marvel VS Capcom, Virtua Fighter, the Guilty Gears, Tekken, etc. There’s a lot of awesome ones to say the least, lol, and some lesser known good ones like Eternal Champions (for Sega Genesis and Sega CD)!

I always enjoyed the old NES platform games, and used to play them avidly.

Now, I’m more of an indie game fan - Iji, Eternal Daughter, Cave Story and various RPGs that are, sadly, still quite unsung. 👍

During and after college, I LOVED the Call of Duty series.

Nowadays, I recently found a hunting game called theHunter and its a blast.

I’m trying to save up some money to buy an XBoxOne and eventually get this game:

I don’t play a lot of the mainstream stuff like Call of Doodie or sports games, but as for shooters I like a lot of 90s style fraggy ones.

My favorite now, is probably chilling out to Catholic podcasts (Catholic Stuff You Should Know, mostly) and playing Borderlands 2. Its the best.

I do!

How about Heroes of Might and Magic and Warcraft?

Here, here! I liked the Elder Scrolls series, and I attempt to still program games while banging on the keyboard.

I like RPG’s the most. Elder Scrolls is a definite favourite of mine, especially Oblivion. I have good memories of playing Final Fantasy games as well. I just think a lot of games these days lack something. They all seem to be the same or brand games like the Alien films franchise, there’s lot of game developers producing fan-fiction tier games for the brands they grew up with. And then there’s like likes of Call of Duty which just seems to release a game ever year, well what’s the point in that, really? Those are the games I avoid.
I’m even disappointed by Elder Scrolls Online, I’d prefer a nice single player game again!

Yes! You could say that. 😛 Always liked PC more. My favorite games when I was a kid were Half-Life, tomb raider, and those Jedi Knight games. (I miss those) And Legend of Zelda. Ahh good times.

Same here. I much prefer games with a good story that make me actually use my brain.

You can’t go wrong with the iOS idolm@ster games. There’s nothing controversial. OK there is one video which seems to have some themes taken from Genesis. The music video features some of the singers bite an apple, but there is no snake or such, and there is a ton of other stuff which is unrelated. Other songs are not controversial but may be too sugary.

OH and Hatsune Miku Project Diva F for PS3.
