Who in RCIA should received the sacrament of Reconciliation

Yeah, I’m still not 100% sure why I needed one. They didn’t like that I didn’t have a baptismal certificate. But we were baptists so it wasn’t like there was much question.
 
I can’t get a baptismal certificate from my church either. I remember my baptism in great detail because it was a little traumatic. 😐 Anyway, they told me I could submit witness statements or even write one myself since I was old enough to remember it.
 
Yeah, they said it was an issue because I didn’t have the exact date (it’s a miracle that I can remember my own birthday, so that doesn’t mean much). I’m not 100% sure that was right, but I wasn’t going to bother IFB folk to help with Catholic anything at all. So I wasn’t allowed to provide a witness statement myself. Not 100% sure that was the correct way to do it - our program seemed rather disorganized. The theology itself was good, but the ability to get the right information to the right people at the right time was abysmal.

Ok. I see how that could be a problem. I was gifted a bible at my baptism, so I have the exact date.

Well, at least your bases were covered…
