Well I put this in the end of a dying thread a while back, so it didnt get a chance to be responded to.

Here are some quotes that I found that stood out in the articles:

First Article:
…Indeed, these sacred writings teach that Adam and Eve were majestic and glorious forebears and that they were taught the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ “from the beginning” (Moses 5:58
). These sources instruct us about Adam’s life before Eden, in Eden…
…The Prophet taught that during this period of the spirit existence Adam received the priesthood
: “He obtained the First Presidency, and held the keys of it from generation to generation. He obtained it in the Creation, before the world was formed” …
… These sources reveal that Adam and Eve were taught the gospel
long before they were in Eden. Indeed, life before Eden was obviously a time of preparation for their important ministry. In the premortal realm, Adam was known as Michael 1 and led the faithful angels of heaven against Lucifer. As a result, Lucifer was cast out of heaven to the earth (see Rev. 12:7–9)…
…[Adam] was instructed again about his role in the plan of salvation…
One misperception the world has about the transgression of Adam and Eve is the concept of original sin. In short, this doctrine is that the Fall of Adam tainted every individual who is born into the human family. Thinking that all children inherit Adam’s sin and are thus cut off forever from God’s presence, some Christians practice infant baptism as a remedy.
…Modern scripture makes it clear that it was the will of the Father, as part of his plan, that Adam and Eve transgress
and thus be moved out of Eden …
President Brigham Young and others reported that the Prophet Joseph Smith taught that Eden was in Jackson County, Missouri…
It was now possible for Adam and Eve to have children, which they did. The sequence of events in Moses 5 indicates that sons and daughters were born to them even before Cain and Abel were born. … We know the names of only three sons: Cain, Abel, and Seth.
… but the revelations given to the Prophet Joseph Smith show that Adam and Eve were taught the plan of salvation, including the Savior’s role
and the significance of gospel ordinances. …
After being taught by an angel about the purpose of their offering sacrifices and the need for repentance and prayer, the “Holy Ghost fell upon Adam”; he then learned more about the mission of Jesus Christ and that he and his children, “even as many as will,” could be redeemed from the Fall (Moses 5:9). Under the influence of the Holy Ghost Adam rejoiced and “began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God” (Moses 5:10). Eve then “was glad, saying: Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient” (Moses 5:11).
cont…

“And the Lord appeared unto them, and they rose up and blessed Adam, and called him Michael, the prince, the archangel.
“And the Lord administered comfort unto Adam, and said unto him: I have set thee to be at the head; a multitude of nations shall come of thee, and thou art a prince over them forever.
“And Adam stood up in the midst of the congregation; and, notwithstanding he was bowed down with age, being full of the Holy Ghost, predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the latest generation” (D&C 107:54–56).

Adam later died. Then, in these last days, the Prophet Joseph Smith reported that he saw Adam in the celestial kingdom (see D&C 137:5). However, Adam’s great work is not done and continues today.
… One of Adam’s duties in his postmortal role as father of the human race is to help prepare his posterity for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Daniel 7:22 Dan. 7:22] speaks of the return of the Ancient of Days, which the Prophet Joseph Smith said “means the oldest man, our Father Adam, Michael, [who] will call his children together …
Second Article:
Adam and Eve knew God personally. They saw him and talked with him. They were taught the gospel of Jesus Christ even in that early time—which was long before the Lord’s earthly ministry, for Jesus had been appointed to be the Savior during our premortal existence.
The plan of salvation, therefore, was instituted among these first human beings, Adam and Eve and their children. Angels taught them. The family believed. They were baptized and began to serve God.
Adam held the keys of the First Presidency and stood directly after the Savior in authority (see Teachings, p. 168). He received those keys in the Creation, according to the Prophet Joseph Smith, who added, “Christ is the Great High Priest; Adam next” (Teachings, pp. 157–58).
Indeed, Adam was very special and very important. Before coming into mortality, he was known as Michael. The Prophet Joseph Smith clearly identifies both Adam and Michael as one and the same person, an angel, the chief angel, or archangel, of heaven, the special servant of God and Christ.
Jesus is the Holy One of Israel, not Adam, not anyone else. Although we are all spirit children of the Father, Jesus is the Only Begotten of the Father, in mortality, even from the beginning, not Adam, not anyone else…
…“Unto which of the angels said he [God] at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?” (Heb. 1:5; emphasis added). And of course the answer is immediate and obvious—none of them—none of the angels, not even Adam, or Michael, the chief of the angels.
God had only one begotten son in the flesh. But Adam had many, including Cain and Abel and Seth. He lived nearly a thousand years. He could have had hundreds of children in that time.
If any of you have been confused by false teachers who come among us, if you have been assailed by advocates of erroneous doctrines, counsel with your priesthood leaders. They will not lead you astray, but will direct you into paths of truth and salvation.
So is this inline with the Bible? Where does this teaching come from? Why is there all this “Gospel” talk if there was no sin in the world at that time and no need for a gospel? Why is Adam now Michael the Archangel?

Well did anyone see anything in those articles I missed?
Any other comments??

One interesting thing to note in LDS theology is that angels are men, whereas in Catholic theology angels are a separate race of beings. For example, the angel Moroni is a resurrected man from the Book of Mormon.

I didnt know that. I guess that puts a few things in a new light, but there are still bigger issues.

As for that satan turning around and deceiving Adam is a good question. One big thing I couldnt understand is they seem to shrug off the fact that these guys did something bad and replace that part with good news.

Here is another one I found, I dont see how eating from the tree was seen as such a good thing.
President Joseph Fielding Smith said. “He partook of that fruit for one good reason, and that was to open the door to bring you and me and everyone else into this world, for Adam and Eve could have remained in the Garden of Eden; they could have been there to this day, if Eve hadn’t done something.”

I was told that Angels are spirit “servants” who didn’t serve well enough in the “Spirit War” and so they would never become men.

Because they believe that by eating the fruit, Adam and Eve were capable of having offspring. They do not believe that Adam and Eve were capable of procreating before their eating of the fruit.

We believe we come to earth to be tested and tried; to see if we will follow Christ and believe in Him. In order to be tested, a veil is placed over our eyes and mind that prevents us from remembering our life in the premortal existence. It would not be much of a test of faith if we were able to remember. 🙂 Adam and Eve would have had that same veil put over their eyes and the reason why they did not recognize Satan in the garden.
