Crusader,

I can see that you’re very upset about what’s happening at Fatima, but is it appropriate to hijack someone else’s thread with this?

CARose

I am sorry, but I thought it was appropriate, as with all religions now being one and equal, as being taught to us, I thought it was Ok. I am sorry if it appears that way, didnt realize the pics do take a lot of space, but people I guess can scroll past. Sorry again and God bless, and I love Our Lady, truly devoted to her.

You are mistaken. The Church teaches that she alone was founded by Christ, the sole Mediator and Redeemer of mankind, for the salvation of the world – and that all who are saved are saved through her graces, whether they know it or not.

Be at peace.

hmmm…isn’t there a WHY did you convert thread lurking somewhere too? I thought I saw one, but maybe that was back in the summer. I would be interested to know in the why of everyone’s conversion to Catholicsm but I could swear that’s been done before.
You can find some excellent conversion stories at chnetwork.org/

At the home page, click on “conversion stories.” Then scroll down to the ones you want to read. I recommend all of them.

Recommended especially: Logic and the Foundations of Protestantism by Brian Harrison; the conversion stories of Patty Bonds and Cindy Beck; and, of course, my own story. 😃 All of the stories at this site are terrific.

This website is primarily for Protestant ministers (and others) who are interested in Catholicism. (There are lots of them! CHN had some 300 Protestant ministers convert in one year recently.)

Peace,

Jay Damien

In my RCIA group we had 2 mormons, 3 non-doms, 2 baptized Catholics who’d never practiced and 5 mainstream prots. One of the mormons dropped out. All the others went on to baptism (if necessary), confirmation and 1st Eucharist. An interesting mix.
Here in Utah the fasting growing church is the Catholic church. As a percentage of the population it’s well over 10% and growing fast. Most of the growth is from Mormon converts. Mormonism in Utah (while still easily the majority) is on the decline.

I asked this same question in a similar thread without an answer. What do the terms; Evangelical Protestantism, Fundamental Protestantism, and Mainline (Liberal) Protestantism mean? How do they differ?
