Who is Fr. Edward Schillebeeckx, O.P., and what is his status as a Catholic theologian?
 
Fr. Edward Schillebeeckx, O.P., is a Dominican theologian who has received notifications from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith informing him that some of his writings, such as on the perpetual virginity of Mary, conflict with Church teaching.
