Who is in heaven, saints or Saints?

I was asked this question by a good protestant friend. Are the canonized Saints recognized differently from the rest of the saints in heaven? Is the canonized title of Saint only a worldly title? I would appreciate any help.

A canonized saint is simply someone we know to be in heaven. The only difference between a canonized saint and the other saints in heaven is that we know them by name, just like the angels, and can therefore celebrate them publicly.
