Who’s the biggest baddest baiter here, and why do you bite -

is it for fun,

you’re bored,

you think they might actually listen to you and learn something?

You think you might learn something.

You have no idea?

ABSOLUTELY NO NAMES TO BE MENTIONED IN YOUR REPLY !!! 😃

Just Wondering 😛

Not I…
I bait not
I bite not

allright so maybe I bite a little
but the hook is usually easy to remove

It is hard to tell…some seem genuine…some seem unwilling to genuinely learn.

What I want to say and I have been wanting to start a thread about this for a long time, so I am glad you did Ag_not (can we call you Aggie?).

I have a sneaking suspicious that there are non-believers who lurk here, on occasion, and try to cause trouble. It does not seem frequently, but there has been times when certain subjects were being discussed that I could just tell.

For all those out there who this is referring to . . . I am on to you!

Well…sometimes I feel that posters are “baiting” but at the same time… I realize these forums have been such a blessing in my life! How many other non Catholic Christians, or Catholics seeking a deeper understanding of the faith must “lurk” here looking for answers? When I see someone “baiting” or trying to “test” our faith…I feel like by replying, not only could God use that in some small way to help the original poster, but He may also reach the many lurkers here. If nobody takes time to reply to threads deemed as “baiting” or “trolling” then someone may conclude there are no answers to the questions being asked. Or that the mis-representation of Catholics and our faith is true, you know?

So…when time permits, I do try my best to reply where I feel there is something I could contribute. I don’t know if I have all the “right” answers, but I do feel better at least trying to share my faith as best I can, with God’s grace 🙂

I also wanted to add…that I often come here so that I can better understand other perspectives…

It was seeking the truth that led my husband and I to the catholic church, and we are constantly seeking truth in our lives. I love to hear perspective from others who are at different points in their spiritual journeys…understanding their faith helps me understand my faith and likewise:)

I should clarify…
The non-believers I was referring to are ones who pose as believers so as to cause trouble. I’ve got a hunch, that’s all.

Posers & also being hypocrite at the same time ??

Salute & Cheers from a NON BELIEVER:

I bit only once and then realized that some people have an agenda. They feel insecure and need a shot of “ha! you’re all fools! I’m always right”. They are bullies using religion as their fist. I know you’ve identified a few yourself.

I consider them the poison ivy of this forum. They look pretty; they’re everywhere; but they are easy to identify so you can avoid them.

There are so many others that can bring faith into focus for us, why waste your time on these?🤷

Peace to you and yours,
